In Bengal rural areas football tournaments are being played regularly and it becomes in peak during the Winter season...I belong to Paschim Medinipur district here in rural side Football is more popular than others even the IPL I can say..many tribal people play here and most of them local bengalies ..Even I also played in a local tournament and won 20 kg broiler with 30k price money with my team 😅😅😅...and still attend those tournaments and I love those games ,they are so interesting..and you can also expect a real fight between teams in every match , everytime the committee have to stop the game to control the situation 😂
I also commented a similar story and I am also from paschim medinipur. Khep football is way popular than even ISL. I also played khep football during high school back in 2013 14. Chiken or Mutton party is the best thing after the games 😂😂😂

Mera ghar Medinipur town mein hai...medinipur town k aspas winter mein bahut sare tournaments hota hai har saal.. Scooter, motorcycles, 10 lakh prize money.. 30K per goal is pretty common.. We love this tournaments.. During high school I also played in khep football..It's very easy to get 10K per matches

In Bengal their are local clubs in each and every Moholla and gully ( specially in Kolkata) . They are basically built for the give entertainment to the local youths and it is guided by the elders. Here people spent their time by playing carrom, watching games on television or just have gossip. So their are very good involvement of locals at each and every time . When the KHEP playing starts in a perticular area the the local clubs are participating in these KHEP competition. So local involvement is much more higher and entertaining to locals. But in case of higher clubs who are participating in the ISL or I league, then we don't see the attachment towards the clubs from the locals . But I know the moment when Argentina won the last world cup then we are watching the Fifa world cup final at giant screen on the road side and there were around 500 people watching and cheering the football. When Argentina got the Cup then fireworks starts ate each and every parts of Kolkata like the diwali . And some people was attending bike rallies with Argentina's National flag . But when it comes to Indian football, then we see lacks of interest in the locals .

I am From Wast Bangal, and I have seen khape football matches I always go to watch this matchs with my grandfather and brothers and one of my friends and brother relatives plays in khape football tournaments.
This tournaments are like big program or festival in the area everyone uses to watch every, and real you enjoy that in those matches with public there feeling there emotions there way toward football that awesome atmosphere I can't express in words oh my God, just come and watch it.

Non-league football is well known in all over the world. Talking about Khep tournaments they usually run between Nov to March. Especially those players who fail to find an ileague club after CFL they find employements through this tournaments. Local leagues has to be long enough to get players to play for pro clubs. But in contrary lot of local lads get scouted to CFL clubs through Khep football platform.

Bro you missed another kolkata based club United Sports Club (1927),they are one of the best clubs in kolkata playing in i-leauge 2,sunil chetri, subrata paul, pritam kotal etc are their players, they are upbringing talented players regularly 😅

As a players my opinion the main reason is that Indian football are not taking good on Junior's players . Even most indian football team are not watching their junior team or reserve team . When is there having tournament that time only they watched little bit serious. And even in india here is not no. Of proper matches its to difference of others contry.aAnd their financial also if club give like pocket money or something to all Junior's players then it will good for all junior players some players are from poor family. If they don't get proper facility in their clubs then obviously they want to plays local tournament for money. So, that i want to say that all indian clubs should do proper facilities and funding for junior team and reserve team. And need to provide more no. Of matches.

Bhai main problem hai kolkata league main chota team main jo player khelte hai unko tournament khatam hone ke bad paisa nahi milta bhai. Is liye yeh log khep khelte hai. Kolkata league main koi acha sponsor nahi hai. Jaise dekho super cup ka bhi koi sponsor nahi tha is liye kalinga super cup name rakha tha odisha govt. Football main koi investment nahi karta hai local league main is liye unka standard thodha below ho ja raha hai.

In khep sometimes a player had to play 6-7 match per day, mostly matches occur in 30-30 minutes. Refreeing very poor, career ending tackles sometimes get hardly yellow. Sometimes spectators invade pitches incase of controversial decisions .

Khep players has to develop special 1v1 skills to complete in this type of football
They usually has exceptional ball control in final third and very good shot accuracy
But the negetive side of the khep is players don't want to go professional clubs because they barely pay them .
Then there is hardly match time as a new player
Low salary , tight diet , gym , daily training
But in khep no issue in match time , sufficient money
Talents are wasting in India because of khep , talented players don't want to achieve bigger goals because at the initial phase there are hardly any money
But lot of patience, hardwork and control required
But in khep if you have these three you can earn enough money .
