  • Amar'e Stoudemire joins Forgotten Seasons to talk about his record-setting 2005 Playoff run, why the 'Seven Seconds or Less' Suns never won a championship, Tim Donaghy, the Horry Hip Check, his Knicks tenure and more.
To many, these Suns teams are in contention for best team to never win a championship. When Steve Nash joined the Suns for the 2004-05 season, the Suns exploded. They began the season 30-4 and were DESTROYING teams. Phoenix finished the season 62-20 with (by far) the #1 offense in the league.
In the playoffs, at 22-years-old, Stat averaged 30 and 10 (!) against some of the best power forwards of all-time, Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan.

I grew up watching Amare and Nash, was pumped to meet him in a barbershop one time lol super nice guy. Don't hear enough about his incredible career in today's media, thanks for bringing his story back to the forefront!

The pick and roll game with Nash was lethal. They would set him up for midrange shots at the elbow were damm near automatic. Many games he'd have 20 in the first quarter.

Nash pocket pass to Amar'e. Elevate and detonate. Best pick and roll combo ever. Those Suns teams were the most entertaining to watch in my opinion. Nash and Stat underrated.

This team was my intro to Joe Johnson .. I knew Stat, Nash , Marion and Q were them dudes.. but this is where I saw Joe is/was DIFFERENT .. it made a difference when they lost him for those few games against San An in the WCF
