Treks: USS Pampanito

Today, the US Navy’s submarine fleet has mastered undersea travel, but during the Second World War, the ocean was still Earth’s final frontier. Traversing that frontier were submarines like the USS Pampanito, SS-383. Today, visitors to the Pampanito will find a broom attached to her conning tower, a strange badge of honor for those who accept all-or-nothing survival odds.
