You made an error on item 6. This not where the heir enters their name. This is where you enter specific information about the property to be transfered, for example, the name of a bank and the account number.

If I owned 2 properties with my dad 1) Joint Tenants (me & my dad & 2nd Me & my wife Joint tenants 95% & my dad 5% tenants in common. Then does the property in Joint tenants value is to be added 50%? Because prop held In Joint Tenants is passed thru without Probate. Both are in Orange county Calif

Thank you very much for the informative video but I still have some questions as my case is rather extraordinary :(
I wanted to return my father's savings from Wells Fargo bank in CA (and already have their Affidavit form and checked that the sum is "small"), but the problem is my father was not a US resident - he just had regular business trips to the US and therefore he opened an account. I already have his translated death certificate with me (as Wells Fargo requires it) but the subtle point is that I see I should write the state of his death as well as "state of deceased customer's residence at the date of death" however he lived and died out of the US. Can I put the name of the country there? And also I have no idea what county should I put in the document header..
I'm the only person in our family who is in the US now, but I live in NC.

My father was a California resident but he died overseas. On the form that you fill out the boxes state the person died in California. What can I do?

What if there is a Last Will and Testament and the estate is under $ 184,000?
What if there is a Last Will with 2 Executors and not all the Executors agree to use the Small Estates Affidavit?
Must the Small Estate's Affidavit comply with the directions of the Last Will?
In other words, if there is a Last Will, can the person signing the Small Estates Affidavit give the money/assets out in violation of the terms of the Last Will?
