I just found your channel and started with the plants you saved from Lowe's 😮 I just recently started trying my hand at growing, and learning. Finding out about propagating amazes me.
I'd been I'll for a 23 yrs and was unable to do much of anything, plants saves me (my user name) and now I'm enjoying saving them. I love finding pieces and I'm looking fwd to watching them grow. I repot any plant I get from Walmart. They water them daily. If I find a good plant, I repot it no matter what

They don't water the plants at my Walmart. It's tragic to me how they just let them dry up and die! I tried to get some that they were obviously going to throw away but after the guy out there said I could take them home and try and save them he went to get his manager's permission and she gave me some lame excuse about how she'd have to get permission from the GROWER for cryin' out loud before she could give them to me. So I asked if I could leave my name and number and she took both but BIG SURPRISE I never heard a word from her. I know they went right in the garbage and it makes me sick! Every time I go to Walmart I tell myself NEVER AGAIN. And I'm about to NEVER AGAIN right now! When companies would rather fill up the landfill than give something away it's just WRONG. And all the businesses here lock up their trash bins so nobody can get free things that are perfectly fine to use or donate.

Take that we Hite knight out of the pot and set it on newspaper so the newspaper will absorb the excess water and you can out absorbant materia as l in top of pot to do same some even use tampons which really do work save your plant. I hope this helps you I do enjoy your videos watch all of them.

My best plant find at Walmart was a Monstera Peru a few months ago. My daughter found a couple of pink princesses at her grocery store so she purchased one for me. My daughter found a beautifully variegated white knight last year at her local Ace Hardware (she’s off at college) so she propagated a cutting for me.
As another person mentioned, I repot the plants I purchase from Walmart or other big box stores because they water them daily and spray them with either neem oil or another insecticide I may have on hand, just in case there are pesky hitchhikers I didn’t see. It’s always a good rule of thumb to keep them away from other houseplants for a few weeks just in case.

05:25 and 08:18 is a _Crassula capitella_ ‘Campfire’, FYI 😊 That one is very green inside the Walmart after being inside, and under fluorescent lights, probably. If you put those out in the sun, they earn their name of “campfire” by turning orange. Then they stand up more straight, not so floppy and green! They look really good in the sun, if you Google it. They’re related to jade plants. They also are notorious for blooming early but all you have to do is cut them off and make new cuttings.

GREAT FIND!!! I would like to find that by me...doubt it. I was at a home depot in NY today and a worker came by to water the plants. I didn't see her check to see if the plants needed water, she just started watering with a hose and I wanted to say something and I didn't. I didn't want to offend her though my facial expression might have spoken more than my mouth, even if I thought I was hiding what I was thinking (oof!)
Idk where in NY you live but I found a bunch of pink princess philodendron last week at lowes in Rosedale zip code 11422. They always have a good selection. I just started looking for it and found it fast. Now I’m on the hunt for the white knight. Walmart in valley stream never has anything good.

I got one too from Walmart. I separated the two plants and add some fresh chunky soil and much needed sun. It is giving new leaves right now.
