Sikyong Penpa Tsering called on His Holiness the Dalai Lama at his residence to brief about 16th Kashag’s two and half years in office yesterday. While speaking to VOT recently about his work, Sikyong Penpa Tsering asserted his commitment to pursue dialogue with PRC while pushing international advocacy and talked about his flagship program of repopulating the dispersing Tibetan communities in exile among others. Kashag under the enlightening leadership of Sikyong Penpa Tsering and dedicated staff members of CTA are doing a wonderful job. However, the same thing cannot be said about the other two pillars of CTA. One of them chose to be dysfunctional while the other is made to be dysfunctional by the former.
It's unfortunate while the external environment for us is quite encouraging with the exception of one, ( of course the only one) our internal situation is moving in a negative direction.
The cognitive warfare of CCP is getting into bones and flesh of the Tibetan diaspora. This is very unfortunate and no force except Tibetans themselves can push back this transnational aggression of CCP.
Unlike our sad past, now Tibetans outside Chinese occupied Tibet are in a position to know and understand the indispensable need of harmony and unity among ourselves. Stumbling is whether we choose or refuse to understand the fundamental importance of harmony and unity.
It's in our own hands yet it proves to be so illusive. We keep tripping over petty issues and lose the sight of the big picture. This is exactly what CCP wants desperately before, now and in future.
