Hey Chris, thank you so much for taking the time to cover Stonesaga. We really appreciate you and are thankful for every bit of feedback you had for the game :)
Thanks for the impression vid. I am very interested in Stonesaga but OOMM hasn't delivered Mythwind yet. I would very much like to see that in person before backing a second game from this company.
I really like the plastic trays - they lock the hexes in place, they allow for easy storage and setup next time and they keep the additional tile pieces you build on (place on top of) any hexes in place. I much prefer those than having hexes on the table getting knocked or being put away and set up one by one. In a game that is one shot, that might work but here it'd be fiddly.
I feel like the game it reminds me most of is Robinson Crusoe. It's not as punishing (thankfully or I wouldn't get both) but it's a survival game where each scenario has a main objective/win condition and overarching story and then the decks randomly generate the detail of that story within each play. The nitty gritty mechanisms for gathering resources, holding items, etc. are different between the two but the concept of injury tokens, food items degrading each night, and the night phase all remind me very much of RC too. I like the idea that death isn't the end and the more chilled out pace (at least in the 3 tutorial scenarios I've seen). I like the idea that past games impact future games in small ways (e.g. sometimes in game a symbol is added to a card and them if the card turns up again in a future game, it provides a bonus that it did nor provide the previous time). Seems like a super cool game!
So thrilled to have found this video Chris! I really enjoy your style of information. You helped me decide on this title. I am happy about that and my wallet is well less so! Cheers
I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen of Stonesaga so far, but I’m deeply concerned about mid- and late-game. If it’s more-of-the-same as the scenario’s that OOMM has shown (with the preview kit), only the component names changing…that grind is going to get real old real quick. Backing it, for sure, but…
I've got Roll Player Adventures coming later this year. This one gives me some RPA vibes and some Robinson Crusoe vibes. Do you think it's different enough from RPA to have both?
Hi considering late pledging, somehow missed the Campaign. What scale would you think this Game will have on the weight Points on BGG? Sorry for asking, I assume you don’t do this, but want to asked to be sure, was this a paid preview? Other than receiving the Prototype for free?

Haven't watched your videos before. You're a little intense but I love that you cut right to it. Very informational stuff!
You will get used to it. This is a good place to stay ;)

This is pulling me in. I like what i see. Thanks for taking a good look at this.

Consider me very intrigued. These mechanics look very different and interesting. This game looks great.

OMG did I just see an example overview? Sensational
This video was just great. Will take a reall close look as we are currently going through Sleeping Gods and really love it
That was enriching and in-depth coverage!
Although...
Did I miss it or that you didn't cover the combat mechanics?

Backing it, for sure, but…
15:02 I 💯 % agree with you, Chris! I need the game to give me something to incentivize me to do something - e.g., some objectives, etc.
We are looking forward to playing.
For family game with a few younger gamers (10yr and 8yr) sounds like mythwind might be more appropriate
Lots of interesting mechanics. Wondering about the downtime between turns...

From what I understand, RPA seems like a much more straight forward path from beginning to end. A-B-CorD-E.
great video, thanks. not a fan of the inventory little game but crafting seems very interesting.

Are there any fun player interactions with each other?
Did you play this with the Expansions? Or just the core game???
On crafting your adjecent sides have to be the same.... Blue,yellow,red,....
But i'm so into stonesaga!!!! Count me in from day 1
I am guessing this is paid correct?
How hard is it search through that massive deck looking for the correct combo? I rather have an app and then look for the card.
There's a codex (book) that tells you what you made and then you look for the item.
You can play nearly any coop game 2 handed solo that's nothing special. If it had good true solo that's something notable.
