Install tips and review of the Cush Core Tire Insert System. [Links] Rock City Cycles: rockcitycycles.ca Cush Core: www.cushcore.com [Socialize] Instagram: / island.bike.life
I've got TR38s and Cushcore is a pain in the but to install and remove. Removing the tire and fixing a flat was one of the reasons I don't like cushcore. I don't think it's as valuable on tires with firm sidewalls like a WTB tire. Maxxis tires fold in corners so I can see why this product is popular with people that run those tires.
I have not tried that particular setup myself. I really like the Cush core on the rear tire. Running just the rear with a double down casing and no insert up front is pretty popular here, especially now that you can buy a stand alone insert.
@@IslandBikeLife carbon rims from testing (WeAreOne) are more prone to cracking from using CC than without. Their WorldCup rider had to stop using them.
Ive used cushcore for 2 years, and now I can change tire in a few minutes... love it
Yeah I am hooked now also
audio is super low, it's hard to hear you. Consider re-mixing

you skipped showing the hardest part! :P I run cushcores front and back on my plus sized hardtail. love em.
i know I'm quite off topic but do anyone know of a good site to watch new series online?
@Toby Houston I would suggest FlixZone. Just search on google for it :)
I've been running Pro front and rear, but I'm thinking about switching to XC in the front. Have you had any time on that setup?

Is the XC insert suitable for aggressive trail riding?
It would be better than nothing for sure. Not really meant for that but could work.
Would the XC be a good compromise between nothing and the advantages cush core provides? Looking at trail riding aggressive trail riding.
Yes it would be. The XC is on my wife’s bike and they recommended that for lighter riders.
Cool, thanks :)!
Cushcore doesn't help with sidewall protection and can crack carbon rims from compression. WeAreOne found this out in testing.
Sorry, side wall support in cornering is more accurate. Band carbon rims crack with it without Cush core regardless of brand.
