I really liked seeing the floor plans in the first video of this home tour. I don't know why, but I just love looking at floor plans, imagining myself or a family moving through them. I wish they were shared more often in these home tours and such.
Oh I love this!!! As a designer with a channel herself, I am going to take your note for myself! Thanks!
That wide brass inlay transition / threshold in the entry should be a new Studio McGee signature! I love it so much!
😘 So glad you love it!
oh my gosh darn goodness, I love it too 😍
Your design abilities keep getting more layered and nuanced. Its great to see how you (and your team) evolve
Thank you so much for the kind words!
100% - I love to see it 🥰
This home goes on forever. What attention to detail in every space. Beautiful. Your clients must be thrilled . I would be!
The design, architectural and engineering accomplishments in this project are stunning! 🥰🇨🇦
Thank you so much 😘
❤ I love every single room, color, detail, features, I mean EVERYTHING
Thank you so much 😘
I love how @studio McGee is evolving and including variety now ❤
Others have commented on the quality and the beauty of this incredible project, so I will just add that your adorably corny puns at the end were awesome! No doubt Syd would enthusiastically approve lol. Congrats on another winning design, and I can't wait to see what you do next. Studio McGee never disappoints.👍
Thank you so much 😘
Beautiful home and design. I realize you focus on high-end homes, but would really love to see how to translate your designs into the average size home, especially older homes that need a refresh. I appreciate that your Netflix series does a little of this, and would love to see more of that done here.
Congratulations on creating such a magical home for the Castro family. You and your team did a wonderful job in creating a place that radiates peace, calmness, and joy. One of my favorites! Thank you for sharing your work with us.
Thank you for the kind words!
Woke up this two days to get everything ready to be able to sit down to enjoy the reveal! Love the details of craftsmanship intro from the builder!
Gorgeous house but the brightness throughout this video and the previous one was so dark. Usually your videos have a brightness about them and you can see everything in all their beautiful details… just some feedback
Thanks for the feedback! It was incredibly stormy while filming which is why it feels so dark. 🤍
I thought it was a setting on my phone. I couldn't figure it out!
A truly collaborative partnership with the builder, a winning combo! Beautifully executed.
Thank you so much!!
The bathroom at 10:00 is beautiful 😍
Erin is my favorite ❤️ contractor to follow. The attention to details don’t stop.
She is the best! 😍
I really love the brass trim on the master vanities!
Thank you!! ❤️
Sy'd pun!!! LOLOLOL. Loved it. Amazing home!
😂😘
What isn't to love about Style & Class! Tones are seamless throughout. Love your beautiful wallpapers, and all details. Thanks for sharing Part 2. I adore the owners nusery hamper. How darling! ❤
Perfection. Well thought out and executed.
That marble moment on the bookcases!!! So good!!!
Thank you!!
No notes absolute perfection other than the bedside tables on the primary bedroom, the idea is there but the execution and colour and the handles made it ikea
This home collaboration was everything and more. It made you pause and consider your to do and tada’s lists. Like would I plan a gap in a playroom loft or is it a hazard waiting to happen? Curious as to the thought process of that sign off. Yet as every view melded into another, it kept me inspired even exhaling with design language and brilliant storytelling like does that palest blue really contrast with that almost grayish (how it reads) paper pattern. Design student in me thought the variation was complimentary but Eh it’s been awhile and we know compliments are opposites. Don’t mind me fumbling while touring this immaculate home; I just loved Erin and the team giving us builder insight. Can I love that she and her team are what felt good together with McGee and Co on this home. I too hope that you will do another and another. You’re doing homes that feel like home and it’s what we’ve all dreamed. That’s me ✍️ putting it down for the 📕. Thanks Shea!
Last video, I was all, "Why aren't they showing the cool wood ceilinged living room??" I am so thankful to learn about it!
I love the stairs going up by the way. The homework room set up is one of my favorites. I want to read a book in there by the window. Allll the window seats are amazing though.
The mirror covering the window in the one bathroom is strange though to me. I love light and don't like blocking it, plus mirrors need light shining onto it and bouncing off of it, in my opinion.
Lovely suite.
I think I have watched this video about five times now ... I am finding each time I watch it, I find myself feeling it was the first time I have watched it. I am still in awe (please don't judge me or think I am stalking) ... the details, work, your design choices are all so beautiful. Would you please share what fabric choices are used in the living room, master bedroom, grate room, laundry room, office, boys bedroom? Like some people prefer shopping for shoes over handbags. I often gravitate towards windows and window treatments.
Love the chairs in the living room 😍
😘
The whole house is fabulous! Definitely knocked it out of the park! 😅
Shea, you're amazing. You're so inspiring. Keep yp the good work.
Thank you!!
Yes all the puns indeed!! It's so quietly elegant.
❤️
JUST BEAUTIFUL!!! LOVE HOW YOU ALWAYS DO MAGIC WITH YOUR HANDS 😍😍😍😍👏👏👏
Thank you very much!
what a glorious project, so many details to admire and swoon over! thanks for sharing your gift with the world!
Shea you ARE the onw design, my favorite ❤❤❤
Loves hugs and kissessss from Brazil to you and your beautiful family ❤❤❤
You also explain everything in some much detail you taught me alot ❤
Really beautiful, elegant and stylish… As always! ❤️
Thank you!!
You nailed it!!! That home is absolutely a dream come true!!!
Thank you!!
This nursery is giving me allll the inspo for my son’s room! We’re about to move him out of the bassinet in our room. Your puns in the end would have made Syd proud, he has some competition now 😂
So happy to hear that! And couldn’t help it with the puns. 😅
Stunning work, great job!!
A very beautiful home. 😍
Can you share the powder blue paint colour used in the guest room bathroom? I have checked the link to all the paints used and unfortunately that one was not featured. Thank you!
Love this house, every room was so beautifully done, the girls room was so sweet, and loved the color choice in the boys room, loved the added details of the arches, you really did hit it out of the park pun intended, lol😊❤
Wow, this is absolutely beautiful!
Thank you so much!
best design you've done!!
Stunning home, but yes, music was not a good choice.
This home is simply beautiful. I love it. It doesn’t look cookie cutter. It looks layered and sophisticated. I wish you had turned on the lights … especially the wall lights. Have to say…not a fan of the brass shower in the primary…looks too chunky and a bit gaudy….
Call me crazy but I’m not feeling that random artwork hanging outside the builtin shelves on one side. It would drive me nuts to walk by and it popping out at me. I’d take it off.
It’s too bright! That’s why it looks like it popping out😂 it’s kinda bothering me too tho. I wonder if it would look better if it was darker, like an oil painting.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you!!
It is so beautiful what a wonderful home you have such an incredible way of giving what a family needs and putting your own twist on it once again another beautiful home you and your crew created ❤
Thank you so much! ☺️
My favorite room is the daughter's bedroom!
Absolutely stunning!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you!!
Beautiful! Beautiful! Would you mind sharing the window treatments? Love the color and texture of the panels and roman shades. 😊
Beautiful home and project- I was waiting to see a media room, like a family room
Check out Part 2 to see the family room! ❤️
Jaw dropping 😮🎉
I'd rather be able to look out the window or open it for fresh air than to have a mirror in front of it so you can do neither. 22:10
The window will get splattered with water and toothpaste. The room should have been arranged differently. What will it look like from the street? Same with the laundry folding table in laundry room. I did not like the ladder in the playroom being next to a large window for safety reasons.
It is absolutely beautiful. Wondering if you can share who makes the door hardware? I love the size of the backplates. Thank you
😂 Oh, that final pun was very Syd!
😂
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
Thank you!!
Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
I was getting worried that all of the living space was dark but seeing this living room off the kitchen eliviated my worries! I noticed the finer detail in the shape of your mirrors in the principal en-suite also reflects that of the fireplace. Excellent attention to detail. I like the window seats in the bedrooms. My only feedback or design alteration would be for the children’s bedrooms. Especially the girls bedroom, it feels a little old lady. I would have chosen a different wall paper and bed frame. But that’s just me. In your defence the house is in Georgian period style, and the girls bedroom aesthetics reflect that. My criticism comes from the girl who sleeps in there point of view. Is she going to connect the aesthetic similarities to Georgian architecture. I would like to see the room more fun and brighter. But I was blown away by this house in its entirety. Well done your credit to your trade.
I love you, sissy! Everything is so beautiful! Your design has really evolved. Bold, beautiful and cozy!🥰🌟
Thank you so much 😘
@@StudioMcGee Welcome!🥰
Where is the hardware in the laundry from 😍 I love
Amazing work. Would you mind sharing the details on the roman shade that's in the laundry room? (Where it's from, the material and color, etc.)
So beautiful! What is the trim and wall color in the entry?
Beautiful home! What ceiling height would your recommend doing beams like the one in the family room and hallway?
Another beautiful home! you and your team nailed it once again. Can you tell me where the light fixture in the office is from?
Thank you! Out of respect for our full-service clients we aren’t able to share every source but here's the link to a similar one! 😘 www.mcgeeandco.com/products/franca-pivoting-chandelier/
Is that wall mounted drying rack in the laundry room custom or from Etsy? Is there a link? I need one!
@StudioMcgee what bedding did you use for the guest bedroom at 9:20??!
I no longer do recessed lighting in my projects just light fixtures these days.
Where does the corner couch in the primary bedroom come from?!!
Hey Shea and the Studio Mc Gee Team, where is the wallpaper in the guest bathroom on the groundlevel from? Lots of love from Berlin, Germany. 😍
I was wondering too
Where was the mechanical ventilation located? I didn’t even see, it was so discreet. I’d love to know how you design them in custom bathrooms.
How do you call this type of square window? ✨
You did “ Knock it out of the Park!” Stunning but it feels so lived in comfortable.
Can you share the brand and name of t]he wall color? Perfect neural that ties the entire home together.
Thank you so much! The walls are Mother of Pearl by Segreto Plaster 😘
😍
Love the "Ending"😂.
Where are all the blinds from? Does anyone know! :)
Loved but the lighting in filming was so dim it was difficult to discern the colors used. I think the production team perhaps intentionally wanted a moody vibe in lighting but it was too dimly lit, in my opinion.
I usually love the makeovers on Netflix but this one seems to be just beige beige beige; and the house seems so dark! personally I wished there were more color pops… prob a client choice?
Absolutely. This is my preference for color. I love how they went super moody in other spaces and added color in the bedrooms and powder bathroom. I don’t like pops that feel like it’s interrupting the room.
May I have the background music track info at 26 minutes?
what is the paint color on this home, living room
What are the details on the curved sectional?
Where can I get the accent chairs shown in the living room.
They were a vintage find from round top :)
For a young family the colours look a bit dull like an old sepia photo.
🥰
❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
❤️
It's quite dark.
Is it intentional?
It was incredibly stormy which made it extra moody!
Hey Shea, how old is Margot
The play room looked very depressing
I like the video but this is not my style or colors is to start white and very cold with stream lines
You have great attention to detail, but the over use of new furniture pieces and no Antique accessories or lighting really make these homes feel like a spec house. More sophisticated layering would elevate this house immeasurably.
I agree poor choice of music and all the shoes in the house
Where's the cheerful? Redundancy of muted this and that....
Colors are not "cheery" for everyone. Too much color for some personality types can cause anxiety. I for one do not like colorful. I prefer muted. Brings a calm energy that I prefer.
Why put a mirror above the fireplace? Just to see the reflection of the ceiling and a light fixture come on guys get it together.
Its one of the most traditional and classic spots for a mirror
@@justinwatson6992 I appreciate how they did not put a TV above the fireplace. I think it’s a beautiful mirror reflecting the light and creating depth and emphasizing the lines around the fireplace
And what's wrong with a reflection of a ceiling and chandelier?
It’s beautiful, it reflects light into the room and looks so much better than a television would look. Professionals know what they are doing. I love the mirror!
@@eileenchang2173 yea, because the kids want to sit around and watch the light reflect off the ceiling and the light fixture.
Love everything but the girls bedroom failed for me. The vibes like grandma bedroom. Sorry 😢
I’m sorry Shea, but this music choice is creepy. It’s giving horror movie 😭 I love your work as always though.
I also found the music to be annoying!
It shouldn't be playing while she's talking.
Also the lighting is a problem, it all looks very dark. Doesn't do the project justice
No clue where you heard horror music. Everything seemed very cohesive
It is called classical music
Classic could be creepy
The rooms are lovely, but the childrens bedrooms are not designed for children. Not a toy, nor space for any in sight. Their daughter's room will look so bad if she wanted (or is allowed to) add any primary or bright colours. Such a shame.
Like a lot of Studio McGee's designs, this is beautiful but bland and lacking personalization and personality.
