- Hi, hi! It's Wandie! đ
Last week my new bunny arrived home so I decided to go shopping to Ikea to get her some stuffs before her arrival. There are many cheap, pretty and useful things in Ikea for rabbits so I definitely recommend going there if you want to get new supplies for your bunny!
After that I built up her new house, a bunny panels cage or playpen (also known as condo or C&C cage) and decorated it with the things I bought at Ikea and the dollar store. I will leave the link of the panels down below!
So, if you are looking for ideas or thinking about a bunny house makeover make sure to watch it until the end!
Thanks for watching! đ

Do you have any pet? How would you decorate or build your pet's house? â€ïž
I have a dog and I love ikea
@@MICHELLESEMPIRE Aww I always wanted a dog too ): I hope one day I'll be able to! And yes, IKEA is amazing haha
I have a hamster
@@lilysanimals2759 Hamsters are so cute đ I had 3 in the past and all of them were adorable!
I have two rabbits and I used to have two goldfish(600 gallon pond) and male betta fish(10 gallon tank with filter and heater and decor and silk plants and gravel)and four dogs in my childhood I had a tan boy chihuahua(I got him when I was 6 and he got ran over by a car but I donât remember when)and girl pit bull puppy(apparently she whined too much)and a adult pit bull boy and a medium mixed breed puppy (apparently she whined to much so I didnât get to keep her) and then now Iâm only left with two rabbits I got a almost 11 month old and a 6 week old bunny(someone was going to leave her in the wild so I took her in because they got her at a month and got tired and bored of her, they gave her to me in a âsuper pet my first home starter cageâ that was filled it âkaytee clean and cozy beddingâ and had an âall living things small pet hay and food feederâ filled with âvitakraft orchard grass hay and vitakraft Timothy hayâ and a âall living things 8 oz water bottleâ and a bowl filled with 1 cup of pellets per day and of 1 cup of unflavored oats and a carrot a day and two pieces of lettuce per day and 10 raisins too and a vitakraft alfalfa nibble stick a day and a vitakraft carrot nibble stick, and in the cage they had a stick(from outside)and a stuffed animal (from dollar tree) and a piece of cardboard and they called those the toys and also they would only let the bunny roam around one hour a day and only in their restroom which was only 4 by 4 feet of running room it was a 6 by 6 restroom but the shower place and toilet and sink took up space and if the bunny would flop or just sit they would put it back in itâs cage because they thought it had enough exercise and they never cleaned the water bottle and they only would clean the cage once a week and while they cleaned it they would just leave the bunny in the restroom.
I love IKEA, especially their storage solutions for small places.
Yes! And the best thing is that are affordable and nice(:
YASS đđitâs so bunny friendly
Ok I am officially inspired, as soon as lockdown is over I am going to Ikea to shop for my bunny;)
Omg thatâs amazing!!! Hope you have fun shoppingđâš
You are such an amazing rabbit mum đ„° your attention to detail is on another level â€ïž
Omg thank you!! â€ïž I wish I could do it even better but for now I'm happy with itđ
IKEA is just amazing you can find everything you need even for bunnies ! I used to have a rabbit but I didn't shop for him anywhere. The items you pick up are very cute
That's right! Even if you just go to look you always end up buying somethingđ Awww well if you ever get to have another one now you know you can get these stuffs! Thank youuđ
Fantastic jobâthe fur baby will love their homeđ
Thank you! So far there have been many changes in her playpen for good, so she lives happy!
For my bunny I bought the biggest "SAMLA" box as a litter box, cut an opening and ventilation slits at the sides and on the top put a fluffy "EMTEN" shower mat which is my bunnies favorite spot to sleep! :)
Oh thatâs a good idea!! I think bunnies always prefer DIY thingsđ
you should add foam tiles all over the house so your bunny doesn't get sore feet from the wood floors. They need something soft to run around on. Especially if they're going to be free roaming the place.
I love your rabbit! Omg! I hope you are able to be her foster mom! đ° đ â€đđđ
She is so cuteđ Yes, I hope so too!! Thank youuâ€ïž
I didnât even know this was a thing! Itâs so cute đ I always wanted a bunny growing up!
Kellie Nicole Yes!! I guess it applies for other pets as well haha Bunnies are such adorable creatures đ„°
You should use a bowl for the water instead of bottle and I would recommend to put bedding over the Pellets in the litter box to
She already has that! This was just the first setting, the basics so she could come home (:
@@itswandie787 oh sorry, I didn't know that
@@me-dl5nd No problem!đ
Other people have already commented the same thing.
@@Star-dj1kw Yeah... I understand that reading comments can be tiring but omg đ
WOW đ€© your floor is gorgeous.
Omg thank you hahaha
Omfg the pink and blue bowls are adorable
Are they, right??đ I would buy tons of these stuffs hahaha
Best ikea vid EVERRRR
Omg thanks for thinking so!!đđ§Ą
So cute âĄ
Thanks!đ
Wow awesome video and music đđ°
Oh thank you so much!!!đ
Really good ideas
She looks like an amiable bunny with a great disposition, Wandie. đ
Aw thank you so much!! Iâm so in love with herđ
This is so great but you should replace the water bottle with a bowl!
Thank you!âš
Well, Coco actually drinks from a bowl since she arrived home (this bottle was the one the owner gave me) because I realized she didnât know how to drink from it đ Nana, the other one I have, drinks from a big bottle because she lives outside and gets so dirty with dust and maybe small insects đ Anyways she has been living like this for almost 7 years and she is in good condition and never lacked any water đ
Omg I hope to visit an ikea one of these days the closest one is 3 hours :/ they have so many nice decor prices I love all the wicker baskets lolol . I would love to own a rabbit one day .
Quite far ): Well, you can always order online! I love those baskets too but if you ever have a bunny make sure to keep it away from it or it will be destroyedđ
You should make more bunny videos!:)
Oh, do you think so?? I tried not to do more bunny related videos because I think the channel would be confusing haha Iâll try to do some more though! Thank you for telling meâșïžâš
With my experience with my rabbit, the best bits of advice I can give is: 1. Buy the heaviest water bowl. 2. buy a large toilet with bags and use cat little inside. No smell/easy to clean and no training required. 3. No cage: at least during the daytime. 4. Buy more than one rabbit if you're not home often.
Ohhh, i love the way you set up a playpen for your rabbit, why i love it because is not too much stuff, blankets pillows etc do not put it. I known it comes with a rabbit preferences, but at the ens of a day rabbit needs a hidy house, litter box with hay and water and greens with small of pellet. Guys do not overbuystuff for your rabbit because this little creatures need your attention and. Love not just a toys in a beautiful playpen.
Ordinaty cart box and some kitchen towel. Or toilet rolls are great toys for your rabbit.
Stacking toys or a paper bag fill up with hay or other snack.
Love and attention they need not expensive toys.
Love it love it love it.
Thank you so much!!đ And youâre right⊠bunnies usually prefer simple things! At the moment the playpen has changed a bit but still functional and pretty! Anyways she already lives on free roaming and uses the playpen whenever she needs âš
the white storage bins on the bottom right 01:11 are good to store hay. đ
Right! In my case I have a plastic kind of litter/trashbin with a handle which is so convenient since I store the hay in another room (from Ikea too lol)
that is great... my bunny loves to bite through zip ties đ
Me he rallado al principio con la parte del metro. Pensaba "en que lanzadera espacial te has metido? O:"
AJAJAJJA es que mola mucho. Siempre que voy a ese metro me pongo a mirar un rato xD
PS Wandie, both bunnies are in our house currently as it snowed heavily outside. Sweet Thing the Bunny is on our red rug which is his favorite spot and we have workmen here and he didn't even budge when they came inside to work near him. đ
Awwww that is so cute!!!đ Iâm happy he is a fearless bunnyđ
@@itswandie787 Here is a video of Sweet Thing and Snowball:-bunny best friendsâ video: czcams.com/video/AxGQElDXdWU/video.html
I filmed this video before our neighbor skipped town and left Snowball. However, it has worked out great as Snowball and Sweet Thing are the best of friends.
so what was the empty seat cover hanging used for?
đ
I sadly dont have a ikea but i do see a ikea store being built still so thats gonna take a lot of years
I donât think it will take years! But anyways Iâm sure that you can order it onlineđ
I am sorry that bunny parents are such know-it-allâs about the water bottle comments. Good grief!!!
You did a great job!!
Right... I found that especially with bunnies people are extremely sensitive. I would understand if they were locked in a cage or stuff like that but damn haha Thank you so so much for taking the time to reply to those comments and also to me!!đđđ»âš
You should the bowl for water, see which they drink from the most/best. I found my bunnies wouldnât drink from the bottle, since I changed to the dish, I fill it at least twice, maybe 3 times a day.
Where did you get the plastic you put on the floor? But anyways I love the set up!
At the dollar store! Thank you so muchđ
Coco and that other rabbit is so cute! I really like how you built this. Can Coco reach the hay ok? The hay rack looks kind of high. Also did you make sure to add some toys in there? I just didnât see any toys in the video and I wanted to make sure they had some or else they would get really bored. Otherwise, great job! Also use a bowl instead of a bottle, but I saw someone already said that. Cute video â€ïž
Thank you so much!!!âșïž Yeah she doesnât have any problem reaching the hay! And yes, nowadays she has tons of toys (she doesnât really like them though lol). Also, as I said, there are some stuffs that werenât mine like the water bottle but nowadays she has a bowl haha
Put some hay In the litterbox and give a waterbowl instead of the bottle it is way betterđ„°
They already have bowl! And I canât put hay in the litterbox because Coco pees a lot and needs a lot of pellets... Plus if it gets dirty she doesnât eat itđ
I just realized Iâve never actually been to ikea before lol.
Omg really? Itâs such an experience! You should try hahaha
Did the pillowcase hay feeder work? Iâm looking for something similar!
Yes!! Totally recommend itđ If you do it try to make a couple of holes around the middle of the pillowcase, not really at the bottom because the hay will drop easily!
@@itswandie787 Thank you!! đâșïž
how about when the rabbit poop n pee? since it lives indoor doesn't it smell? how you manage?
My bunny, Sweet Thing, is an indoor-outdoor bunny and loves being in the front yard where he receives lots of attention from passers-by. And he has full access to our home when inside. I have written an ebook about him and his bunny friends, "As Cute as a Bunny-Sweet Thingâs True Stories" by Val Lee.
Oh!! Arenât you afraid that someone may do something bad to him?đ° I think itâs great that he can interact with others but I would be a bit worried for him!
I never thought on writing something like that! Thatâs so cute!!!đ
@@itswandie787 Hi Dear Wandie, I trust your day is special. Rabbits are very fast and can run up to 40 or so miles an hour. On a few occasions, dogs have chased them, but it has been months since an incident. Plus, bunnies can fight.on their hind legs.
Our neighbors have learned to be quite cautious and keep their dogs on a leash when outside. We live in a very safe, conservative neighborhood. Our neighbors are simply great!! And the neighbors love it when the bunnies visit their yards.
Our one bunny, Snowball the Bunny, was left by a neighbor who skipped town. Snowball had always been outside and living with two dogs in her yard. I think the owner may have left Snowball because she knew Sweet Thing and Snowball were best friends. She took her other two bunnies.
Please write if you have any more questions, fellow bunny lover. đ
@@ValLeeWeblog Oh wow!! Well itâs good that you live in a nice neighborhood and nothing happened since then!! How about predators??
@@itswandie787 They know how to run swiftly and avoid confrontations. They are smart and wise by God's grace. When Hawks are about, they can hide and blend in. I have never seen a hawk come close to either one of them. Sweet Thing, our Holland Lop, is black and simply appears as a shadow in all his stillness; and Snowball, our Netherland Dwarf, is beyond speedy. She is a flash of lightning when she runs and she blends into all scenery. She is simply amazing how she is there and then she is gone. đ
You need to give them a mat made from straw to scratch on and a few toys
There was no where near enough pellets for that litter box and the flooring is not the best option either. One large area rug would have worked better. That poor bunny was probably slipping all over the place. I know this was made a year ago. I hope you have changed things around since then and learned much more than it appears you knew here. Other than the floor and the litter box itâs a great set up and very clear you care about your bun. God bless. Happy hopping.
you should try giving ur rabbit a water bowl, that way they can acess water easily
I didinât see hay anywhere?? Bunnys should always have a lotâs of hay itâs the most important part of their diet. Also Iâll suggest to upgrade that water battle to a watercup since itâs not natural for bunnys to drink like that and they might not get enough water from it.
I donât know why everyone keeps saying the same... The video was just to show the basic setup! đ Iâve had bunnies for almost 8 years and they have everything you said, itâs just that I didnât show it since it wasnât about that đ
Did you end up keeping the rabbit?
Yes! Coco is living at home since thenâșïž
I thought your rabbit on the thumbnail was a catđđ I was so confused
Omg đ Well I do have a cat too but he isnât black at all hahaha
@@itswandie787 whattt?!?! Iâm jealous đ

Hi, I have a bunny too and, I wanna decorate my bunnyâs room pretty but I have no ideas
Oh! I totally understand you! I recommend having a look in Pinterest! There are many cute ideas âșïž
@@itswandie787 tysm!
@@yxlespixels599 Youâre welcome!đ
I have a geunia pigs and sheâs a baby rn so her cage is fine but when she gets a little bigger sheâs going to need a cage like that
Awwww guinea pigs are so adorable!!! I've never had one but I heard they are so messy! Make sure to "pee-proofing" everything thenđ
Chew toys?
rabbits should live with a partner!! It is in their nature and definitely not fair to keep them alone. Also, please add some more enrichment
Sorry but you can't know everything about one's life just by watching a video... I had another bunny at the same time (my first bunny) and sadly I couldn't bond them cause both were so territorial and aggressive with each other. I'm the first one who had bunnies together in the past and actually Coco was adopted to be the partner for my other bunny but everything turned bad that I had to have them separately. Been having bunnies for more than 8 years so believe me I know more than you think. I'm just saying all this cause many people talks without knowing all the information(:
You should try free roam
They are free all day except at night, when I close the door
Hi, Iâm sure you probably realized the mistakes Iâm gonna point out but please change the water bottle, it is not meant for bunnies. Also the litter box should be filled
she needs a hidey house , water bowl , and toys to sure she has something to grind her teeth on other then hay. other then that it's beautiful :)
This was just the house itself, not the whole setting! She already has all of what you mentioned above (:
The litter box wasnât properly set up.
My baby bunny has the same name as this person bunny my bunny name is coco
Oh really?hahah Itâs a cute name!
the bottle is a little bit to high
Donât worry it wasnât! Anyways she didnât use it for long, just for some days and then changed it(:
Where is his Bunnyfriend?
They live separately đ©
@@itswandie787 i know its hard to put them together, its not impossible!i know what iam talkin' about ,now my bunnies love each other, it was not easy
@@kochmonautin4973 It took me 8 months to put together Nana and another bunny who passed away so I know wellđ But these two for now itâs impossible. Iâm not at home at the moment so socializing is not an option... Coco almost lost her ear when trying it so I donât want any situation like that anymore..
You shouldn't be providing Coco with a water bowl. It can cause dehydration. You should provide Coco with a water bowl instead.
?
đ
nah those office organizers are no good to be a bunny's hay rack, the bunny will barely be able to grab hay out of those small openings
I love her setup but please NEVER EVER use a water bottle you should always use a bowl for there water because rabbits drink loads and loads of water they drink the same amount as water as a big dog so pls consider to get another bowl for her water
No offence but if you had bought the bed that ikea made you would've saved money bc the cube was 4 and the pillow was 4 that's 8 in total and there was the same thing but better just for 6.
I chose it by the designđ
my bunny would eat all of that :/ if it isnÂŽt a hard plastic she couldn't eat, she will destroy it
đđ Yeah some bunnies are destroyers!! But still there are nice hard plastic things in ikeađ If not since itâs quite cheap you can replace them from time to time!
please give them a BOWL of water...
I said that in other comments and she has it since the very beginning, this was from the previous owner and I just set up her place with the things I had at the moment..
Before you make a suggestion, you should read the other comments and see if someone else has already addressed this.
This young lady has already had SEVERAL people comment about the water bottle. Thereâs no need to dog pile on top of her with the *helpful* comments.
@@Star-dj1kw I've seen that by now, thank you :)
@@itswandie787 I didn't see that, I'm sorry. thanks for the information
@@Star-dj1kw Oh thank you for saying so đđđ» I mean I donât mind explaining it but some people make it look like itâs the worst thing in the world if they donât have a bowl đ©
why dont you just free roam your bunny?
Not everyone can free roam,itâs hard to free roam also and if you are a messy person itâs tiring not knowing what your bunny is getting into when you are not there in my opinion itâs better to just have an area set up for it.
Is that a real question?
