I have essentially the same design in fiberglass BUT, this boat has may key advantages over my boat. Mine is NOT self bailing, this is. I have a jury rigged bait tank, this has in integral--planned bait tank. I have zero fish storage, I think? this one has some planning spaces for fish hold--not sure? But overall, it is a great design, he only downside-and this just an opinion, are two fold, one, it costs so very much-but then I admit, you can either afford it, or you can't--I can't. Two, I would opt if at all possible for a tandem axle trailer--I Know, it is not heavy and you "don't need it", but to me, the twin axle is a superior design, if you have a flat at speed, you will be very glad you have two tires on each side of the boat--plus if you are heading out to camp/fish, you can put a lot of equipment in the boat with little concern if you are twin axle. Those things aside, I love this boat--oh yeah, one more thing I understand they are not married to ONE outboard brand, you can order one of several engines. One last tidbit, if I were able to buy one, I would try to get it in the safety orange color--just better for being seen on the water.

Im tied between getting 2012 1850 supercab for 52gs which is all refurbished except the Suzuki that has 1000h on it or a new mclay 611 crossxover for 58gs

I am wanting to go out to the continental shelf for tuna. 40-50km off shore.
I’ve noticed you mentioned you’ve taken yours off shore. Has it handled the off shore trips well. Have you needed to be very selective with the weather? What sort of speeds have you managed off shore and for the sake of fuel planning have you had enough to get out, get back and troll out there?
What sort of top end speed do you get out of this boat with a couple of guys. a full tank of fuel and the 130hp Yammy on it? Cheers
