Steel Division: Normandy 44 is a Tactical Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game, developed by Eugen Systems, the creators of titles like Wargame and R.U.S.E. This new game puts players in command of detailed, historically accurate tanks, troops, and vehicles at the height of World War II. Players can measure their tactical skills against several opponents in big multiplayer battles or against enemies in a challenging single-player campaign. Steel Division: Normandy 44 allows players to take control over legendary military divisions from six different countries, such as the American 101st Airborne, the German armored 21st Panzer or the 3rd Canadian Division, during the invasion of Normandy in 1944.

"The amount of bombs in this icon indicates the amount of bombs"
The first part of my tutorial series. This one will be the bare basics so dont feel discouraged about the content. I will be moving to the more advanced things in future parts.
That depends on your PC stats. For me putting everything on Ultra is fine and runs smooth. This series will be focusing on gameplay and not on graphical settings
+Red Baron i will check into it though and see what works the best
Best basic tutorial so far. very straight forward and comprehensive. Wish I knew it before. I would have saved a lot of time!
Thanks man!
This interface looks so much nicer and polished than Steel division 2
I disagree, while I think the aesthetic / thematic elements are superior in the first game's UI, I VASTLY prefer the UI of the second game because it's scaled in a much better way that doesn't obscure a ton of the screen.. and overall is more functional.
Nicely done... I especially like the "on/off" split screen in the beginning. Makes it easier to understand.
Thank you for this. I learned most of the icons, etc. from watching your videos; but there were still some helpful nuggets in there. Great as always
This is one of the best video tutorials for SD-Norm44 in Detail Thanks👍🏼
Thanks man
Beautifuly done, you're natural! MOAR!
Love it! You have the voice and the patience to really get these videos great.
+Moorbote glad to hear that bro. Hopefully itll help some players out there
Very good tutorial, I've seen a few other tutorials from other people but I like yours the best. Very easy voice to listen to and you explain everything straightforward :) subbed
Ah glad to hear that! I will be making more this upcoming weekend!
Great video. Thank you
Fantastic guide thanks 😊
Thank you for this tutorial! It was very helpful for me as a complete noob. Would be awesome to see part 2+ ;) Keep it up!
Gonna get a good tutorial uploaded soon.
Very Helpful!
Thanks!
Excellent! I was hoping a good player like yourself was going to do a tutorial series. Thank you very much!
Youre very welcome mate!
thanks, this is a very helpful and well made video
Great tut :)
To me the most important detail of this tutorial was the explanation of those icons and the queuing order feature.
Thanks a lot! nice to see it was usefull
Thank you good Sir for this video :)
Really informative and soothing voice
thanks mate very helpful!
glad it helped!
Good Work
good job
Great tutorial - thank you for creating/sharing! Have you made #2 yet?
Working on it. Been a long time since i played.
Thanks!
Nice Tutorial!!!
+John Mancuso gotta do more of these
Saucy, do you know what are all the types of HE and what's the practical difference in their respective mechanics are? Like, the explosion icon for explosion, napalm icon, single shell icon, three bullets icon, etc.
I just got started at the Steel Divisions actual boot camp tutorial and I really got the feeling listening to the tutorial explanations, that it was translated into English. Just finished the tutorial on tanks/antitank and the narrator says now you are ready to something something German Pride.. It really sounded odd as did several other parts of the tutorial narration.Anyway the full game is now available, oh joy ;)
ah yea. I think that the campaigns are fine and all but i enjoy giving it my own personal turn to it
Wow your Wargame red dragon looks weird.... is it modded?
+Jack Sutton shut up jack 😂
:P
I was thinking the same thing.
Can u make a video on ur Video/Graphic Options or maybe build it in a video?
Also, are you gonna play the campain? I liked your campain playthroughs of WG very much and this is an even cooler time frame!
Definitely mate!
Hey Saucy, do you have any general tips for new players trying to break into MP? I've lost a few games in a row now, and I'm finding it hard to make headway. I tend to rush forward towards a town (or any group of buildings I can see) but I always end up getting caught out and stuck trying to break through a wall (much like the other guys in your videos). I'm finding that I'm getting a feeling of information overload as well.
Id say join some 10v10s or play 2v2s with a good friend. It just needs practice
With the return fire option...
Do you know if they only fire back at units shooting at them or is it once they are fired on they engage targets?
For example.... if you have scouts in trees, they are spotted and engaged at distance from a 75mm AT gun. Enemy infantry are moving up with weapons turned off, so not shooting on the scouts themselves... would the scouts then engage the infantry that are moving up, or hold fire as the AT gun is out of range?
They open fire when fire upon so im guessing that they just go to fire at will. Might have to test it out
Are there more parts comming anytime soon?
yea, ill try to post 2 this weekend
Always get all 3 King Tigers
Well, it looks like finally I will be able to not capitulate within 5 minutes of skirmish
Just got a gaming pc and been looking for a game exactly like this. I tried the others like Sudden Strike 4 and it's so childish with little strategy required.
Try company of heroes, you'll love it.
they should add the 262 with 48 rockets)))))
My unload isn't 'U' it is 'Y' :S
I disagree on the turning on "automatic fire on enemy supplies". Supplies are really not that important, most units dont even need supplies as they will die before running out of ammo.
Also supply trucks are very cheap, if i meet a bunch of artillery with a supply truck (more or less the only units that need supply constantly) i without doubt want to focus on getting rid of the artillery first
Ww2 is a way better setting for this type of game imo.
uh oh swastica ...im offended
i know right
