I literally have the emails with the Owner of Caffeine. I was a huge part in closing the deal because I was the only person at the berrics who had the skillset and knowledge to operate the show. Me and my team brought the essential tools for what Caffeine required from The Berrics. The Berrics could have hired a very expensive and knowledgeable production company instead of having me be a part of all the meetings and me executing the process..... but the berrics was extremely broke at this point and was already struggling to pay the rent, so yes, I was a big part of the deal happening.
Also, Steve, you're the only person who calls me kid or kiddo. Stop being so obvious!

The fact that he can see beyond Berra's actions, to know that Berra was not aware of his behavior, but should still be held accountable, and that he refrained from going overboard, into needless shit talking, which is amazing. I actually respect Berra for putting as much as he did into the Berrics, he even said they were struggling to pay the rent for that huge warehouse and the berrics did a lot for skateboarding and had some of the best content for skateboarding. I hope they keep it going. Are they building a new one? The las I sa they were tearing out the last spot they had.
Didn't you watch the podcast? Berra obviously lied about the rent being doubled every year, that's not how real estate works. They mentioned he was making huge profits for himself while the park was "bleeding". Meahwhile behind the scene he also treated his staff and partners like shit. Everyone that made The Berrics great already left and moved on
Do you have any idea how much it costs to rent a place like that in a location like that? That is a huge investment in an industry that's not very profitable. The fact is, without Berra there would have been no Berrics which produced a ton of amazing skate content. Even the biggest companies in skating didn't do it that big which goes to show that there probably wasn't a whole lot of profit and a risky investment. You're just hearing this guys side of the story who obviously is super bias. I'm not hating on the guy but if you go into business there's always a risk, he even said he jumped in with no contract making big assumptions and over-invested then got mad at Berra for it not panning out. First rule of business is do your homework before you start and keep costs and over-head low until you see actual profits. Every business is a risk.@@jim_carry

As I mentioned, I didn't wanna do the court process. It wasnt about the money. It was more about standing up for me and my team and not taking a zero. And also getting a recording in case it ever did go to court. Which I succeeded in doing.
