ATEEZ's Kingdom journey was just a playground for them, they might not have won the crown but everyone else was blown away by their performances. They came to slay and they did. Their fans grew tremendously after this show and I think their reason for joining was to get more exposure. Their growth after this was just amazing!

Kingdom is known as ATEEZ’s playground. Ateez did everything solely for atinys and their lore. The intro for the Rhythm Ta stage is the intro for their latest comeback ‘Guerrilla’. They were dropping hints nonstop in their performances in Kingdom. While Ateez didn’t win overall, they won most of the expert voting and their ‘Wonderland’ performance was #1 on the list of "15 Best K-Pop Performances of 2021 by Genius Korea".
atz didn't won because a lot of the porcentage was fan voting :( but they won almost all the performances in experts and other groups voting

They did win the round they performed Wonderland. Later, it was named the best Kpop performance of 2021 by Genius Korea.
Iu actually wached there love poem performance and jongho went to her concert the other day and went to go greet her back stage and she told him she remembered him
they didnt sleep for 2 days not only bcs of practice but also drama shooting which some member playing in and also comeback promotion which means coming fot music shows
Ateez really didn't came to play, they ate every single performance, i couldn't be more proud 💗

ATEEZ is a great group, it is not just any group, since whenever they do something, no matter how simple it may seem, they always give their all. They are the best example of passion and vocation, they started from scratch with a company that was not big at all, their growth was difficult, but they are the living example of organic growth. I'm a happy ATINY thanks to them
I’m so glad you are reacting to Ateez Kingdom performances. Just to give you background: 4 of the members were acting in a K-Drama during Kingdom that they didn’t sleep for 2 days. Mingi was out on medical leave for his anxiety and getting therapy. Ateez released a new CD and was doing the rounds on Korean shows to promote their comeback. They performed well on the program and was so proud of Ateez because they stayed united regardless. We all missed Mingi during this period. Ateez started to gain recognition in Korea as well as internationally. 💕💕💕

Sorry, trained singer here: the nose wrinkles are more likely not necessary specifically for the performance (although they definitely enhance it in this case), but rather, wrinkling your face like that helps to give direction to your vocal sound as well as enhance the tone of your voice, especially if it's in mixed voice like Jongho's. So he was actually just showing professional singing technique as well as professional stage presence. Two birds with one stone tings 🤷♀
Kelvii dahhhlink, with October coming soon and with ATEEZ's tradition for creating Halloween content, maybe a wee special for Halloween. There's the zombie version of Pirate King (right around debut), M Countdown (likely blocked, but anyway) Wonderland, Black Cat Nero (they did this live first on Immortal Songs and won (duh), then created an actual video of it) performance video, and the Deja Vu vampire version (+++Seonghwa). Cannot WAIT to see what they do this year. I mean, Guerrilla Halloween version might slap, but I'm happy to take a Cyberpunk or a The Ring one.
Re this whole video grouping, I _highly_ recommend watching Kingdom (it's free on viki, I believe), because the performances from all the groups were really spectacular. ATEEZ had winning performances, but they chose -- if you ask me it's because they realized that the fan voting was going to skew results and just decided to do their own thing -- to continue their storyline as part of their performances, so like, Rhythm Ta had the audio that started Guerrilla, for instance, and getting Yeosang out of the box was a major plot point in their lore. The full versions also talk through the process of choosing and recording the songs and practicing as well as showing the reactions of the competitors, which are always fun. Also, according to points scores, they placed 3rd overall. Thank you so much for doing this deep dive!
ATEEZ as a group is just built differently. KQ Ent. had a totally different approach to forming and training their group for debut and it showed from the start.
On top of that KQ has a really good music production team and it shows.
Not to mention the dance crews behind ATEEZ choreography.
It's all a really good blend with ATEEZ and it all shows in the end products.

Also, the track for Playing with Paint (rap battle track) was produced by Stray Kids' production team, 3racha, and Eunkwang from BTOB arranged Love Poem to be a trio. This whole competition was full of people who deserved to win.

ATEEZ's kingdom Journey was like a playground to them but to those who followed them at that time, these moments were so stressful because ppl tried to exclude them on the voting eventhough all of their performances are on top. But i'm glad that they attracted many new fans during that journey..

kingdom was by fan vote, stray kids has a bigger fandom than ateez. if it had been by judges vote, ateez would have won, kingdom was shit. I'm still so proud of my boys, ateez have achieved so much even without coming from a big3/hybe company.

Kingdom was not shit. SKZ deserved their win. If ATEEZ had won, I'd say they deserved the win, too, because both of them were incredible the entire show. We don't need to be downplaying other people's hard work and originality or accusing them of agency favoritism just because our favorite group didn't win. That's trashy fanwar behavior, and there is no room for that here.

the kingdom staff mistreated ateez throughout the program, it was revealed months ago.
It's not for you to say "it wasn't shit" it was. ateez guys can't even watch their performances on that show because it brings back too many bad memories, the staff yelled at them and they were not given equal treatment, even with that, ateez gave their best and were always respectful.
I don't downgrade the work of other artists, I just talked about how shitty the show was, since the physical and mental health of my boys was greatly affected.
I also talked about the vote of the fandoms, since some groups have larger fandoms than others, and the fact that the victory was based on that was unfair, by quantities.

Ateez has actually won in critics evaluation in many rounds. But sadly fan voting is of major percentage, so SKZ won.

ATEEZ absolutely should have won Kingdom. Mans brought an entire damn theater play to the stage. They're stages were like watching a freaking movie. They deserved to win. Yet they didn't. I'm never gonna stop being mad about that.
Also Seonghwa. I CANT!! That man being a whole ass piece of fricking royalty in Kingdom like it's no one's freaking business. Like PLS HE POPPED OFF LIKE CRAZY EVERYTIME!! His vocals, his dancing, his presence, his facial and micro expressions- EVERYTHING JUST CONSTANTLY ON POINT. Not only in Kingdom but in general. He's a gift to mankind and I will never shut up about Park Seonghwa being the most brilliant and at the same time horrifically underrated vocalists, dancers and performers in the industry.
