Love this song 😊 staying sober and dealing with real life is hard. But it's worth it when you hit those highs you get off life , and real laughs that make your stomach hurt. Music definately helps , it's therapy and soothes the soul, and this song is a great one for that ✌️🙏😎
Sam, this song is perfect. A couple of years ago i had to walk away from a long term relationship i had given everything to. Her love defined me, and every time she cheated or manipulated me i would go back. I had to change my number and move so she couldnt find me or reach out because if she did i know i wouldve gone back. Right after that i fell hard into hedonistic shit like getting trashed and fucking around all the time. When heavy hearts dropped it hit hard and helped me see that i wasnt alone in how i really felt, and this song is a celebration of growth out of that place and respecting yourself enough to give yourself the time to heal. I listen to it almost every morning.
On top of all that and definitely more importantly, my little sister had recently ran off dealing with mental health issues on top of drug and alcohol abuse. We finally got her back home and into rehab, and were working on getting her assisted housing while she learns to balance appropriate medication and keep away from booze. Last time she got her hands on some she tried to kill herself. Happy music gives me so much hope for her.
Youve been doing some heavy lifting as far as bringing me hope this year. I hope you find the peace, comfort, and happiness you deserve. Thank you for making this music. I listened to a lot of 80 bars and i still really enjoy stuff like banana goo pie or the idea when im feeling something silly, but this recent work is the kind of Art that connects with something real in people.
