I like Carter over Nwanko as the nose guard. Nwanko showed me he can anchor, but not a whole lot else. Carter showed me the ability to anchor, better hand techniques to stall the guard coming down, and the ability to penetrate. During most spring practices, I would see Nwanko make contact and sit there while the 2nd blocker scraped off to get the backer. Carter would get a hand on the 2nd blocker inside shoulder, turn side ways to draw the blocker in while maintaining leg drive.
Barnes started off slow, but by the end of camp, I was impressed. McNeil has gotten quicker, and his hands are ridiculous. Cokes added some strength, but he stands up too much, which allows Shane to be controlled. Wiggins has a good pop, but leg drive stops after making contact. However, he has a good plant leg, which keeps him from getting driven back. Swain like Cokes plays too high. Solid size, and might be force when he gets stronger and learns to play with leverage.
Number 98, Jacob is abit small. He played a lot of DE and some DT. Not real explosive or strong, but has shown good technique during 1 on 1 drills. Sam O has looked good pass rushing, and holding his own in the run game. He has Demarcuss Ware potential when he adds about another 10 pounds and work on anchoring. Taje McCoy will be a starter during the 2025 season. Expect heavy rotation this season. He also needs to add 12 pounds or so. I didn't see much from the New Mexico transfer Kahlil I think his name is. The Wade OLB needs to get stronger and play with leverage. He was often manhandled. Walker was injured but looked ok last year.

@Koureybingham Overwhomed? He ain't better than McNeil and Carter and Barnes have looked better than Nwanko by a wide margin. Nwanko can anchor, but so can the other two. They're not as stiff as Nwanko. McNeil is a better athlete than all, but not the strongest or biggest. Nwanko will get a lot of playing time, but judging how Spring looked, other guys looked better in practice.

But you just gave me some crazy insight, after reading everything you wrote. i absolutely know your coming from knowledge of what’s going on out there. I can tell you’re not just a fan of one and picking them to start because of it. I can really tell you know what the fuck going on out there for sure and your not just talking and you no what to look for as well. people who drop videos about these people everyday couldn’t give out insight like that, naming each player and not just what they do good but what they need to work on as well. Knowing what to look for in practices from players gives you a big advantage in knowing what we got, so I appreciate that knowledge you just drop on us game recognize game salute 🫡

@Koureybingham Np, I heard Nwanko was dealing with an injury. Summer practices should let us know one way or the other. We have a few more guys coming in this summer in Thomas and Burell. The D-line battle is about to get interesting to say the least. Either way, our D-line is now a strength, unlike last year, when they got blown off the ball. We now have a mixture of stout guys who can draw double teams and anchor. Guy's who are penetrators up the middle. Guys who can rush the passer, and hold the edge.

CU has depth now. I see Nwanko occupying bodies but not making the push to the backfield. I am for whoever disrupts the play and gets pressure on the QB. Sapp has been great in videos working on showing these guys how to use different moves to rip past their opponent. you can see some of light bulbs coming on as he is teaching. whoever is going to push the play back in th the qb's lap - that's who needs to start.

He's very strong 💪 yes, but he has to remember to lower his pad level a bit and make life a little easier for himself. Go Buffs!🎉
