Saw one of these on the road yesterday, thing came up the side like a damn black batmobile, and disappeared off into the night down the duel carriage way in a blink, you could see the power in it hauling ass. Had to do some googling to find out what it was, just looked so damn impressive. Break lights looked cool af, car looked cool af, had such a huge presence to it. Very jelly of anyone who can afford one of these beauts.
I remember when Enzo’s and CGT’s were doing 0-60 in 3.5 secs 15 years ago and now SUV’s are doing this 🤯

BMW just confirmed they’re making an X8M, skipping the regular X8, only an M version available, it’s own chassis and everything, sounds crazy, if this wasn’t crazy enough..

Yes cause it is more powerful and less heavy, slightly narrower and shorter, this car is made to be more sporty than RSQ8

I don’t think it’s that much about the engine as the rsq8 has 50 more nm, the wheel size also plays a big role in acceleration. Bigger wheels = slower acceleration. The rsq8 has 23 while the x6m C has 21 and 22.
You get more for your money with the RSQ8... rear wheel queer, carbon ceramic breaks.

I've loved BMWs for a long time well for my life anyway. The thing I've always admired about BMW is that other car companies inflate their performance numbers and if anything BMW has always downplayed the performance of their cars they never dissapoint.
Matt Williams yeah they’re amazing. BMW, Mercs, and surprisingly Infiniti with their VR30 platform, all have artificial power figures. They all claim to have “x” amount of power at the crank, but when taken to the dyno they put down the same or more to the wheel lol
BMW is famous for downplaying the power of their cars. Almost every BMW got more HP than stated on paper.

@@deepakchecks7497 This was probably filmed in either Arizona or New Mexico, most likely Arizona. But if you're asking about which parts of the US is colder than the UK, basically any areas in northern Alaska would be colder than northern Scotland.
I got my drivers license in 1974. Cars have evolved exponentially- unbelievable performance, luxury, safety, quality and fuel efficiency. A 1974 corvette only made 195 hp and did 0-60 in 6.8 secs while returning crappy mpg, rode hard and was a rattle trap after 20,000 miles. Navigation? A fantasy. 4wd was limited to trucks. Luxury cars were slow af. This is still the golden era of ice cars.

This review was great! So much better than the other more recent ones. One chunk of in-video ads and "click on pop-up banner" stuff in the middle and one more towards the end. Please keep doing it this way, it's way more palatable 👍
The "Hot V" is meant to put the turbos near a hot place in the engine (the inside of the cylinder banks). By doing so, the turbos are always at operational temperature, so the turbo doesn't need to spool up as much, meaning there is much less turbo-lag.
Engineering Explained did an excellent video on it, explaining how it worked when Mercedes applied the same concept first. Everybody should go watch it!

Very handsome looking auto the X6M. The X6M threw me back in my seat when I tried it very powerful. I was also impressed with the X4M which I tested at NJ BMW UDE, (vid on my channel). It was surprisingly nimble and tossable for heavier autos.
Who reckons the back of the X6 looks like the 2 series on steroids.

The performance figures on this car are insane. Just watching that speedometer shoot up is mind blowing for a car this big and heavy. I seriously think it will give a Lamborghini Urus a run for its money. I believe this is currently the fastest SUV on the market with the RSQ8 not too far behind.

I don’t understand how having the turbos in the V of the engine provides better response. If they are mounted in the normal place on the sides of the engine, the distance from combustion chamber to turbo will be the same. And pipes still have to travel to the front of the engine bay to reach the intercooler and then back to the intake manifold.

@@MrHussain1998 M8 is just a gt car which can be compared to rs7 & Gt63s 4door so R8 v10+ is not valid rival it's a super car BMW don't have competitor in this class.
M5 - it's nice ( benchmark in the class)
M2cs - it's the only car in the segment with proper rear wheel drive and manual it's much hardcore sports car compared to rs3, but I agree rs3 is quicker off the line (only because of awd) and much practical but that doesn't require in this class if u go for track weapon
X3m/x4m who told you that x3m a useless car it's much better than rivals and it does it's job quiet well, for x4m I'll agree it's most useless car personally I don't like it but that's what the segment wants and people buy it

X6m - Rsq8 is much better in terms of technology & styling. But wait it's a performance SUV coupe segment where X6m outruns rsq8.

Lets be honest BMW are nice but most people got them back in the days for rear wheel drive, which now BMWs are starting to lose new 1 series, I don't even want to get into Mercedes, you're going off like BMWS have the fastest cars, yes in some categories, but you're making it out as if all Audis have a 1.9Tdi engine.

New 1 series is absolute let down for me and all car enthusiast out there, so I didn't mention it, but think about old m140i it's still best among hot hatch
I am not degrading Audi but you should accept fact Audi is lacking behind Merc & BMW in terms of out right performance & drivability, even their sales shows it, at the same time we can't forget e tron techs introduced by Audi.
For me only letdown for bmw is interior design & grill which they introduced to attract Chinese market

I would go right ahead and buy it. I think it looks much sharper than the Audi. I love this X6 model. At the moment, it's still a bit out of my price range, but i'd consider buying this model in the next couple of years. Currently driving the Peugeot 3008, which I do love, but I've always wanted a BMW. Either an X5 or an X6.

The purpose of the hot v is more about the temprature reduction of the engine.. the turbochargers are normally sitting on the sides in a lower position which causes a higher engine temprature because the high temprature goes up...
that why it's called HOT?
