Seems that the fiber orange cable has been updated. Now it's only one single cable but still has a dual connector or port(in the Secondary Network).

Could you please explain why we used a fiber cable to connect the router and the switch? Usually, we use copper straight-through cable to connect different types of devices.

how do you know what router you need to use?
yeah i am also wondering since there are several types of router
if you are connecting the same types then it's cross over and if they differ then it's straight through

I watched a few great videos, but this one is not so clear to me. The problem is that routers, switches, etc all have the same picture. My problem is that my routers don't have the same connection ports, and even if I tried to connect with all the Router types it still didnt work. It would be great (in my opinion) if in the future you would use the devices name original like in Packet tracer. Because they are all up there and also renamed makes it hard to maybe see what the problem is. I hope I don't encounter the same issue in the next videos. Other than that, great job.

There are some criteria for connecting devices. And also we can understand the port by seeing physically. In real time, all the wires will be labeled initially to understand the other end!

but if you have netacad you would download the template "Connect a Wired and Wireless LAN". when you double click on the file it will have the topology already setup you just have to complete the connections and verification.
After some time getting it working, I noticed the file 😅
