  • Welcome to Belleville Toyota!
    Today we are exploring the Multi-Information Display (MID) on your new Toyota! With all the new options and settings, it can be difficult to know where to start. My goal in this video is to help you become more acquainted, and ultimately more comfortable with the different information available to you on your front dash display. Although I am demonstrating on a Toyota 2020 RAV4 for this tutorial, there are many similarities across models in terms of how to operate the Multi-Information Display. Let's explore your Toyota to enhance your daily driving experience!
    Please note that the features may vary depending on the model and year of the vehicle.
    Love these features and looking for an upgrade? Call our sales team at Belleville Toyota (613-968-4538) to book an appointment or test drive.
    We're here for you.

In regards to your key fob volume question, on your vehicle, try clicking MENU then SETUP/SETTINGS then scroll down the left side and click VEHICLE then VEHICLE CUSTOMIZATION then LOCK/UNLOCK SETTINGS and there should be a few options to adjust the lock and unlock feedback tone at the bottom (which is the beep volume you are looking for!) Hi Jijo! Thank you for your kind feedback! We do not have the Toyota Auris in Canada; however it should operate very similarly to the models we have here. Use your arrows to navigate to the furthest left icon on your MID. It should be either an 'i' icon or a little leaf (same as in this video). Then operate the down arrow until you find the display you like. I did make a video on how to operate to your home screen, which you may find useful. Here is the link : czcams.com/video/J1b5bjKWuxU/video.html

      Hi Richard! Thank you for your feedback! Yes, in this case, I did indeed have the vehicle fully on and running. However, as you mentioned, you do not have to always have the vehicle running. You may press the Engine Start button once without depressing the brake for Accessory mode (to operate the radio and some options on the head unit) and twice without depressing the brake for Ignition On mode (to operate windows, climate, radio, etc.). You may absolutely sit and play with the vehicle's buttons without having the vehicle fully running. Thank you for your great comment- hope you enjoy your new RAV4!

    This video is far better than the dismally confusing Owner's Manual. Nevertheless, it doesn't help enough. I have never been as disgusted with a vehicle's interface as I am right now with my 2020 Camry Hybrid AND my 2021 Sienna Hybrid. The driver and I (at home) spent almost an hour on the phone trying to figure something out.
    Please, just give us a cookbook rather than a cognitive map.
    "If you want to "..." then do this "..."" Don't try to teach me the whole system.
    We are stuck in an alternative main screen and cannot find our way to the original simple screen that just shows speed.
    Is it possible that these settings cannot be changed when the vehicle is in motion? That would explain a lot.
    Grrr.

    • @belletoyota
      @belletoyota  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Chris. Thanks for your comment and the questions. In your case, we need to use the arrows on the steering wheel to get you back to your preferred home screen. Operate the left/right arrows until you are on the home icon which is the furthest left icon (icons appear at the top of the MID- the screen in front of the steering wheel- when you press the arrows on the steering wheel). Then, use the up/down arrows to rotate through the different menus of the home screen until you find the screen that displays your desired information. The MID screen DOES NOT change automatically as you are in motion; it requires operation of the driver to change. What I tend to see in these cases, is that the driver has accidentally click one of the arrows and does not realize it OR someone else who borrowed the vehicle adjusted the screen to view different information and forgot to change it back. Either way, it is almost always a matter of using the left/right arrows to adjust to the icon furthest left THEN use the down arrow until you see the information you desire. I hope this helps! I will add this to my list of tutorials to film to help future drivers :)

It is the furthest left icon that appears at the top of the MID screen once you operate the left/right arrows. what does it mean when the " ! " light is on? thank you.

    • @belletoyota
      @belletoyota  Před 2 lety

      Hi David! Thanks for your question. This symbol could mean a few different things. If it is an orange ! symbol in between two curved lines with a jagged bottom, it relates to your tire pressure (either low pressure or no sensors). If it is a red circle with a ! symbol inside the circle, either the parking brake is active or the brake fluid is low. If you are seeing an orange ! symbol in a triangle, this symbolizes a hybrid system failure warning (assuming you have a hybrid vehicle of course). I hope this helps. If you are still concerned, please take it to your closest Toyota dealership for further inspection! Thank you for your comment :)

    Hello friends, I have a 2019 Toyota Corolla petrol version. Occasionally, when I brake, an "A" symbol appears on the panel, and the car seems to go into standby mode. When I press the accelerator pedal again, it appears to restart. I'm confused about this feature and would appreciate any guidance on the matter.

      Turning off the indicator does not turn off eco mode, just the indicator to let the driver know that it's on. ECO mode comes standard on the vehicle and cannot be turned off as it's not always on. ECO mode is the vehicle's way of letting the driver know when it is using up it's fuel/energy in the most economical way.
