    I don't know when the hell I watched this first but I clearly agreed with you cuz there's already a like from me. lol Great review and summary. I've been rockin Bedrocks for 3 years now and adore them. Have 3 pairs now - this Cairn 3D, the Cairn Geo in flats, and the Classic. I spend the most time in the Geos followed very closely by the Classic and I use these 3Ds for longer trails. They're all amazing. I have gripes about the 3D each time I put them on, but it only lasts for about 30 minutes and I'm back to appreciating it much as you mention.
    Just solid, bombproof, ridiculously well thought and executed sandals.

      I got this same pair re-soled. This is year three or four with them and I wear them almost every day. Even into the cold of fall .

      @@bobbymaldini7653 Hmmm... Hard to say. But yeah maybe. I am too a bit and frankly they bother me a bit a when I put them on first time in a while, but it goes away quickly. I definitely prefer the footbed of the non-3d, partially for that reason.

    I have the original Cairns. Love them, although I struggle a bit with the footbed when walking on hard surfaces for long periods.- I wish it had a little more cushioning. Do you know if these provide a little more 'give'? Any softer at all? Any help would be much appreciated.

    • @pathrst
      @pathrst  Před 5 lety +1

      Metta Man in not sure, I never had the originals, just read up on them. I wood say there is a little give to them, though not much. It's just enough for me however.

    Do you recommend going true to size? Some reviews say these run small.

    • @pathrst
      @pathrst  Před 6 lety

      JDJYNWA they do. What I would do, is if you have access to a printer, you can print off a sizing chart from their website where you step on a 1:1 outline of the sandal for sizing. That's what I did and found that I had to get a bigger size than I expected.

      Beck Stein it does. If you are not sure, the have PDFs you can print that match up to the sizes and you can stand on them to check.

      Beck Stein how's it going. I happen to run across your comment about the Bedrock sandal. I am interesting a buying a pair. I have the same issue with wide feet. I'm 4 EEEE and was wondering did you find a pair to fit your foot. Thank you and be safe out there.

    I thought downhill,on steep dirt rough trail,the thong dug in between the toes.with socks,but tight- I found they moved around to much.I prefer my old Teva- which apparently,is no longer available. After trying the 3d cairn,I rushed home to order a Teva trail. A couple days later,I find either pay pal,or Teva,cancelled my order.everyone said it wasn’t me. - I’m just gonna stick with my 3d…it only sucks on steep downhill,or walking on a large ,sideways slanted rock- So,I’m just gonna try and not think about it. My old Tevas rocked. Didn’t hurt,didn’t move to much,and the perfect size to protect my toes,while not being to big.

    For this land how's it going. I just ran a cross your video and I'm looking into buying some bedrock. I know this was more than a year ago I was wondering how is your Bedrock holding up today. Are the straps still in good condition, is the footbed still in good condition, and the souls in good condition. They look like some real cool sandals to buy. Thank you take it easy and be safe.

    • @pathrst
      @pathrst  Před 4 lety

      The soles are getting close to worn out, but still have this season in them. The foot bed is just right, molded to my foot and is in great condition. The straps are solid as they were on day one with no signs of giving up. I think they re-sole them but I am not certain on that count. I wear them constantly, days on end and hike in them also. They have a lot of miles on them. Very solid and durable.

    • @mackjenkins7721
      @mackjenkins7721 Před 4 lety

      For This Land oh you think they can re-sole them that worth buying. My only problem I have is I have big wide feet sz13 EEEE. I don't know how wide they come. With all my toes being really big I'm wondering how long would the foot bed hold up. I bought a pair of Reef flip flops last year and 2 months later my toes worn the footbed out." A nice Wide Worn footprint" but the soles are still good. I really appreciate the information you have provided I really like to get a pair thank you and stay safe.

    • @pathrst
      @pathrst  Před 4 lety

      Mack Jenkins I would double check that they re sole them. I can’t remember. They also have a pdf you can print of the actual size of the sandal that you can stand on. That’s how I tried them out first.

    • @mackjenkins7721
      @mackjenkins7721 Před 4 lety

      For This Land okay I tried to go on that site and see if I can print that paper out. I called Bedrock but could not get through. I really like to get a pair. The footbed must be real strong if you had the sandals a couple of months before this review and the footbed look that good of condition. Footbed on my flip flops in a couple of months was worn out did not look as good ask your footbed on your sandal. They still look new that's what I'm looking for. Thank you

      @pathrst  Před 4 lety

      Luka Martin you could try printing off the template they have on their website for a layout of the foot bed. The only difference between the 3D and the normal one is the 3D has some contouring on the footbed.

    • @pathrst
      @pathrst  Před 4 lety +1

      Alejandro Aranda decently flexible. They don’t roll up like some of the other sandals but have a boat load more give than a Chaco.

    How does sizing compare to the Chaco Z sandal? I love them but they do weigh a ton!

    • @pathrst
      @pathrst  Před 5 lety

      David Frederick it matches up pretty well. They have a PDF on their website you can print that is their actual sizes and stand on it for reference. That's how I got mine on the first try.
