The passion you show in your videos for landscape photography really inspires me, especially when I feel like I’m in a bit of a funk. I really like how you approach your woodland photography. Thanks for the great videos Henry!

Great photos Henry. One thing I would say is to try lowering your camera on the tripod to get lower shots of woodland, leading the viewer's eye into the shot with foreground elements. Some of your video b-roll has really nice shots, like the one at 1:48, which would look great as a photo. Also, at 12:55, try lowering the camera down towards the stream, with wide-angle attached, and try a shot leading up the stream. Perhaps it's a habit of yours to leave the camera at eye level, as you tend to often shoot bigger vista and landscapes, but I feel that woodland shots can sometimes benefit from a more intimate approach by getting lower and leading the viewer into the forest. No idea if you do this, as we only see a few shots per video, but great shots nonetheless.

Hi Sam thanks so much mate, and I really appreciate your suggestions regarding composition - that's definitely something I'll consider when I'm next in the woods! Cheers for the continued support my friend

Beautiful work. I heard it said once, "Leave a place for the birdies to fly through." I could feel the depth of the woodland in your photos. Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm.

I’m not a photographer, but I watch your videos for meditative purposes. The colors, sounds and sometimes imaginative scent of moss is so nice and calming for someone living in the concrete jungle.

One thing I have not often done is take my camera out into the rain on purpose. I think after watching this that I need to bite the bullet and make the effort. I bet you could also sell snow to eskimos! Keep em coming Henry. 😁

1st shot my favourite. It is woody, earthy smell, solitude, peaceful and full of texture! The type of thing I'd have framed on my living room wall. 2nd I found it hemmed in somewhat but I wonder what I will think of it in a couple of months time. 3rd I like that too though I would have got more of the stream in the foreground and got lower down.
Whilst you were moving around there were some great 'scapes there, have a deco at them.
Oy don't let your camera get too wet!
    Stay safe ☺️

I’m learning all the time from your vlogs which I really appreciate and thank you for, (calendar pre ordered) notice you didn’t use a lens hood in your compositions that day and I wondered why ?

Definitely noticed a change in the images. They seem more clean with less clutter and the edges look better without bits being cut off or intruding from the side and I must say the changes are all for the better. Great images and I ain't going to pick a fav as I like them all. Great vlog Henry. Take care and stay safe.

Henry, This is a coincidence, just watched your latest on CZcams, right at the end you say you got your self a iMac, well I got myself one on Tuesday this week, from eBay, unfortunately this computer does not update to the latest OS ,it’s a 2011, in other words it’s to old, I got charged £799, which is a bit of a ripoff, I complained but he said I should of know before I bought it, I took it for granted that I would be able to update to the latest OS, it’s a shame because it is a very powerful computer, 3 tbite, 16 gig, it’s a mega pice of kit, I just thought I would contact you to let people know to be careful and check everything before they go ahead and purchase ,especially off eBay, he gave me £35 back when I contacted him, but I still feel I have been ripped off. Great photography as always.

Woodland is hardest to photograph for me, it just feels like without a mist the images look too dull :/ also if there is no rain, the leaves are full of pollen or dust and the color just doesn`t look right in the images, very reflective... :/ also focal lengths that you use is very dependable on the woodland how old it is, how spacious it is between the trees, how many young trees and bushes there are etc..
