The battle starts with them trapping the roadrunner and jerry in the same trap and brawling over who gets the credit and the prey.

Idk. Tom has canonically died. He’s been to both heaven and hell, so it’s proof he can be killed. But I don’t think we’ve ever seen Wile E Cayote in the afterlife.
I guess it just depends on how much toon force they are allowing their combatants to have.
I mean Wile E has access to the Acme catalog, which has basically every slapstick and explosive item ever conseived, but Tom doesn’t even have a magic satchel. He doesn’t even work with explosives or actual weapons all that often in the cartoons except for the occasions where he’s depicted as like a Scifi security guard or a fencer trying to stop Jerry’s smaller mouse friend from delivering letters. Still Tom does thus have more combat experience than Wile E in that case who more so uses traps and explosives that have an unfortunate habit of blowing up in his own face, so maybe Tom could eek out a win. Maybe?
Again it all depends on how Toony they want these Loons to get for what is quite likely the finale season of Death Battle.😢

Wily E Coyote - He's normally up against Jungian archetypes of the trickster (Bugs Bunny and Road Runner). When up against someone who isn't, who the universe itself doesn't give fiat wins to, he will prevail. He's smarter, had an unlimited supply of gadgets, and is stronger and tougher than a house cat.

I honestly don't know who I'd root for since Coyote and the Roadrunner shorts were my favorites from the old Looney Tunes cartoons. And Tom and Jerry was my favorite show for a long time when I was a kid and even then I always liked Tom. Plus on the ability side, both are high-tier ToonForce users and neigh invincible.
