You engineer ran on antifreeze because your radiator core was aluminium but the top and bottom caps on your radiator were plastic. Remember antifreeze was called coolant.
Ally/plastic radiators are throwaways. Most of those tabs have cracks from opening them. I know from the hundred or so that ive dismantled for scrap metal. Only need a flat screwdriver to lever them out enough to remove the tank too.
That person should find a cleaner creek to get the water for the radiator. They won't have anymore problems. Also when cleaning the core my friend would run boiling water through the radiator when he was done.
Hey now, there are plenty of us who love to restore what we can, incuding cleaning and re-using old parts. HOWEVER, I'm not going to risk ruining a vehicle i put a bunch of effort into with a radiator i rebuilt especially if i broke tabs off on the teardown and can't replace them and i didn't see any new gasket material applied which i think is why so many people are making comments about not trusting the rebuild until after it has been put under pressure. And even after all that work, if gasket material isn't applied properly it could ruin all that work...

They didn't make parts fixable anymore. That must be for a vintage car. And I agree with one of the comments. That needs a test pressure record
😂😂😂
It is extremely unlikely that radiator will ever hold pressure again.
Love the way he hammered the side tabs back in considering he actually broke them totally off at the start of the video
There's always a Rooster who has an opinion in this type of video.
Makes you Wonder how much dirt can get in to the cores .
It'll be good to go after cleansing the rubber seals replaced.
This made me want to floss, and I don't know why.
Sanki doğanın içerisinde dağdan doğal kaynak suyu fışkırıyor 👍
Didn't know modern cars had a water tank.
You must be crazy to reused that radiator after taking it apart like that.
Just for your personal information:
In American English that car part is called a "Radiator" and not a water tank.
I'm *only* mentioning this in case you want to do more videos, and that way you can target your audience a little more effectively.
Cheers!
Dude broke the tab😂
The shit in the radiator is a symptom of way bigger problems. The whole system will look like that.
Good ! Work. Oh ! I like hearing the rooster crowing at the begining of the video.
I rather buy a new radiator. But the effort of repairing it, to who can do it, is priceless. Respect 🙏 🫡
We just gonna ignore those broken tabs huh?
