it's funny how some of the sub bosses have more varied attacks and movements compared to some of the main maverick bosses which just slide or jump back and fort
I wonder if the original game was supposed to have more Doppler stages than what we got here.
by part 3 Crapcom was getting lazy, more so this game was this close to not come out at all...

Omega Rugal oh come on look at the soundtrack! Toxic Seahorse, a goofy easy boss with a badass theme and Crush Crawfish, a badass hard boss with a good although repetitive theme, sure they are predictable, but their designs are pretty nice and they can be hard if you don’t know what you’re doing
Shockwave 364 considering I fought toxic seahorse second and crush crawfish 5th for me crush crawfish was easier
I can’t believe now I realize why Crawfish shoot those weird things that stun you. They are soundwaves, and Crush Crawfish is a pistol shrimp.

10:02 Hot damn! After all of these years of playing Mega Man X3, I normally beat Acid Seaforce(Toxic Seahorse)so quick that I didn't even know he had a move like that. LOL
It's not shown here as it breaks part of the whole "no upgrades" run rules, but you can fight Mosquitus with Zero, beating him removes Zero as a playable character but gives X the upgraded buster and Zero's saber.
Wow some of these bosses make Chill pingun look like Sigma.
tiger, beetle, catfish,seahorse, crawfish all put up decent fights
True, but use their weaknesses and they make Toad Man look like Yellow Devil.
@Evan Bernard Tiger's the easiest boss in the game and Seahorse's the third easiest.
@@masterbison8957 If you use their weaknesses. Try doing it with the X buster. Volt Catfish is by far the hardest because of his second phase. Toxic Seahorse is challenging too. In the case of Gravity Beetle, his first stage is the hardest. Another challenging boss is the Godkarmachine O'inary

MMX6 on no upgrades isn't legal
It's only fitting that you started with Neon Tiger first; since that was the first one Nintendo Power suggested as part of the weakness chain. I first tried that and thought: "You have got to be kidding me?!"
Neon Tiger is very inaccurate and open to so many hits plus his stage has a sub-tank that requires no upgrade or ability to get, but that miniboss tho.
Preferably, I begin with Tunnel Rhino.

I begin with Blizzard Buffalo, mainly because you can cheese his AI. Then Tunnel Rhino and then Neon Tiger. Allows me to kill Bit, Byte and Vile with their weaknesses. Then the others easily fall like a stack of bricks.
For me it was this order.
Blizzard Buffalo > Toxic Seahorse > Tunnel Rhino > Volt Catfish > Crush Crawfish > Gravity Beetle > Blast Hornet.

Why is this video so relaxing to watch?
Sometimes you can get lucky with boss AI as some of them didn't even use their full arsenal, Neon Tiger nearly didn't use claw attack, Tunnel Rhino only ram the wall, Frozen Buffalio shoot ice blocks only once.

I played PS1 version in MMX collection on GameCube. I really like all those anime cutscenes (boss intro, opening scene, Doppler's laughter).
However, for OST, I still prefer SNES version.

All soundtracks and sound effects are different.

MNaeemi777 you have the ps1 version. cause x3 was released around the death of the snes, it was ported to ps1 and maybe saturn.

Haha been just playing this game and the other megaman X this week. This game isn't that bad but compared to the other 2 in the SNES it's really mediocre. More than half the fucking bosses have the same "ram the wall and attack in between" tactics, and the difficulty spike is bothersome. It was the last Megaman game outsourced and it shows. Maybe they tried to hide the overall bad design with an increase in difficulty? The pit and trap placement is sadistic and half of the power ups are just standing there while the other half are just cryptic as Fuck to get. I don't know, it just has too many fails.
X3 is pretty flawed compared to the likes of X1-2 and 4, but yeah it's not too bad I agreed.
I agree but the way the stages look and how you maneuver around them makes up for the blind falls and surprise enemies especially in volt catfish's stage.
my biggest issue about this game is it's too easy to die. I saw some boss attacks deal a huge chunk amount of damage (dat Gravity Beetle's move in 16:05 is an insta-kill move. Crush Crawfish's Scissor Grab Cut can take half of your life bar if you don't get out fast). If you're not good at this game, go get armor part, heart tank, and sub tank (be sure to refill to max) asap. Otherwise, enjoy losing half of your hp with 1 hit w/o even knowing it (All Godkarmachine O Inary attack can 1-shot you. No, I don't say they're hard to avoid!).
And how can we forget how shitty Zero is in this game? Don't get me wrong, his Z-saber is OP af, but he has so many flaws. I can list them all here:
- Can't fight most mini-bosses
- Can't fight bosses
- Can't collect upgrade items
- Only be called once per stage
- If he died, you can't call him for help for the rest of the game. Therefore, you can kiss and goodbye to Z-saber unlockable.
I still enjoy the game, but I can't give this game a good rating.

Honestly x3 might actually be one of my favorites in the series, it's especially enjoyable with the fully playable zero rom hack, which rebalances x3 plus obviously allowing you to play as the clad in red reploid himself with no limitations
It also improved & added a lot of things besides fully playable Zero, which made the game much more enjoyable
@@pkmntrainerred4247 No matter how many things it changed, it's the same game at core and no amount of nice item shortcuts and attempts to make the buster charge not absolutely horrible will fix the problems it has
Hey, I know you dig these buster only challenges, but you're better of charging up everything and getting 100% completion, including the gold armor and Z-saber, you know.
It's interesting how unbalanced this game is. Without using weaknesses, and somehow surviving despite the insane damage you take from a single hit, you actually see some interesting attacks from bosses.
You also see how painfully simplistic the bosses are. Makes me wonder if that's why they made you insanely weak in this game.

The catchiest boss theme of the X series, both the intro with the boss theme itself. My only gripe with it is that it's too short and repetitive (that's what she said).

Yeah. X3 isn't the most merciful when it comes to enemy contact damage. Some bosses are a pain in the ass to beat.
Godkarmachine(Bit+Byte fusion) is highly damaging, but still quite easy.

Is that all the bosses? I mean, I heard that if you use your copy powers to destroy Bit or Byte, one of them will revive the other and then combine with him to become their fusion. If you destroy both of them, their fusion can’t happen and then some boss take over his place, right?
Yes, this video has all the bosses. If you destroy both Bit and Byte you'll fight Press Disposer instead of their combined form (Godkarmachine O Inary). Bosses 19 and 19a in the video. Same with Vile: if you destroy him earlier in the game, you fight Volt Kurageil.

This is the worst X series I've ever seen. All the Boss fights has repeating rushing foward attack. The player even manage to destroy all of them by firing pellet shots. Capcom really got lazy in this installment.
