@@greatdanaluv depends how much land you want and how big your house is. Watch zayloc23 video of him doing the same thing he goes into great depth about it on recent videos
@@greatdanaluv yes it depends if you will be owning your home or renting. That’s a major factor to consider.
In fact bro you really made a very good decision 👏 👌 may God protect you 🙏
Thanks bro 😎 🙏🏾
This is beautiful. What I love about my build, is the thought that I don't have to qualify for nothing! Money talks.
Money surely talks here. Good credit can’t help anyone in africa, only money then you live happily ever after.
Well done. You inspired many people in diaspora to move to the Continent.
Thanks my brother. I’m hoping It’s working well enough to get them here. That’s the goal.
@@dandiablo3809 so I eat 3 good meals a day plus a fruit snack so pretty much 4 times a day. I feed me and my maid. I spend 1000 Cedis a week which is 328 dollars a month on food. 800 Cedis a month on light’s because I run my AC Small during the day, so 65 dollars a month on lights. It depends on how much I ride my moped on the fuel I use. Let’s say roughly 400 Cedis a month on fuel so 35 dollars a month. I pay my house help 1000 Cedis a month so that’s 80 dollars a month. So I spend 508 USD a month. That’s if I’m not going to any outings or going to the market buying miscellaneous items.
Very great achievement but my advice to all those brethens moving to Ghana is that you take time to research ,build contact and plan your life out for at least five years . This entails having a solid financial budget that will allow you to sort out opportunities and learning to live your new life in ghana. Besides it's better to stay in the United states and continue working why building , so you can feel in the gaps and only move out thrice a year for activity in Ghana . So build your house in stages abd make sure you buy land from the right person betters till some with experience can help you. Never never trust someone with your money . You must be present as far as money matters are concern
Yes that’s exactly what I did. I started building in 2017 while I was still working in the states but I HAD to trust someone in Ghana that I could send the money to because pay 1300 to 2000 just to visit to put the money in your contractors hands your self will break you and take away the money that could buy building materials. I have another video that shows the stages and the time frame it took me to build. I learned from other vloggers mistakes in order to master my journey.
Great job. Glad that you are able to live your African dream.
Thanks ☺️ Yes please it was very well needed.
I am proud of you bro. Africa is home let's live the dream.
Thanks bro it’s definitely home…
Beautiful home fam. I would say the estimate value of your home compared to where I stay in Atlanta to be no less than 400k. Concrete isn’t cheap here and a full concrete home with wood frame roof and metal roof is extremely expensive anywhere. If you bought this same home inside the city limits it would be about 700k or more. And with labor cost today 😓, smh this wouldn’t be doable unless you had a lump some of money approaching or greater than 500k.
You sir are correct. Having a home anything similar to this in America is only a dream 😴 to me.
I like your vibes, may God guide and protect you .

Do you have any recommendations as far as contractors out there to work with building my home
@@almighty_etv2230 I don’t have a specific group, because they come a dime a dozen. They are everywhere. Even when building my house I use 2 different groups of masons, 2 plumbers and the same electrician. On my 3 story that I started on I used another team. They are not hard to find because everyone is building all over. You don’t need some big company to rip you off. It depends where you will be building. If you are anywhere near Kumasi we could assist in finding builders for you.

Oh wow bro thanks for engaging in them. I will have 2 series that I will be putting out, but the latest ones that I have dropped here are all one time short skits. I was creating this short ones so I can gain a separate audience that will engage in them since I am putting out 2 different kinds of content, I want to satisfy both groups of viewers. I just created a playlist on this channel called “our short skits” I’ll be adding all of the short one there and when I start the series I will create a separate playlist for those. My good brotha can you please make your video's longer so we can see more of you in Ghana, Africa.
Thank you sir. I will try to work on long ones. In my area every once in awhile I have trouble uploading longer videos. Some days are better than others. I will do my best my brother.
Try some landscaping with planting useful flowers ,fruits put in some terrace . Great achievement, keep up the good work
Yes for sure, coming soon. thank you ☺️
That's a beautiful house you should consider putting nice green grass in the front yard.
That's the plan! Yes I will have a strip of grass running parallel with the front wall inside and outside, but there will be tiled placement in most other parts of the compound except in the front near the wall and on the left and rear of the house. That will be grass. I’ll have flowers and bushes decorated near the front porch.
Nice ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks ☺️
Wow. You built all that for under 70K????!! You can't even get a one-bed house for that in the UK!! Well done! Are you also building that 2nd structure next door? And having fruit trees right on your property is so nice. I have access to land in Accra now, I've learned, and I daydream about what it looks like and what I'll do with it. I guess I'll soon find out when I get to Accra this August! Well done.
Yes the second structure will be for visitors. Congratulations I hope you enjoy your stay when you come. A word to the wise. Hire a land lawyer before buying any land “Especially In Accra” 😱 land you buy anywhere should be purchased with the use of a land lawyer. The person selling it and the person that wants you to buy it from him will tell you that you don’t need a lawyer. Technically you don’t, but buying land in Ghana is much different and one must cross all T’s and dot all I’s. Thank you for watching, I hope you have subscribed.
@@webelonginafrica44 thanks very much for the heads up. My land was actually purchased for my late mother by my surveyor granddad so I hope things are in order with all the paperwork as a surveyor would know what to do? I'm told the chief will hand it over if all mum's surviving children physically present themselves to him! I really don't know what is going on there so will definitely keep a lawyer in mind!

Beautiful house but you're left with a landscape. Keep it green
There will be very little landscaping because most of the compound will be tiled, but there will be small landscape that I plan on making it look very nice.

Beautiful house my bro, is it possible to see the layout plan of the house really thinking of doing something like this
I didn’t save the layout plan but it shows it in another video I have posted a while ago
Loving the house fam, how long did the whole build take?
Thanks, it took me a total of 3 years to have it partial livable. I had it plastered inside and out then completed 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It took me one more year to complete the 3rd bedroom, kitchen and living room. I will be renovating the kitchen because the wall and floor tile don’t math together and it don’t math the rest of the house

I'm gonna keep it real for most of you, its not as simple as you think to just build a house on the Continent. First you have to weed out the land scamming and trust me its real and you have to get serious and dont skip steps with the process of land ownership because if not you can easily be scammed out of serious money before finding the right ownership to buy from. But in most cases you will need 150k to build a house you will desire and that with you being the project manager to oversee the work as it go. Just know it more than likely be on unpaved roads with open sewell because that how they do it here. Just get use to riding on bad unpaved roads on the Continent and most of the Paved roads are in very bad condition without any repairs mostly. But those looking to come don't be discourage by looking at my message just know you must come with a open mind.
Your home is beautiful you paid 70 thousand for all that ! 70 thousand is just the down payment here in America
Yes I did. Actually a little less than 70k
He built from ground up❤
Did you build your fence before or after you built your house ?
No actually I did it afterwards.
Yes however is important to build your fence if only you're not ready to build and also you're not always present in Ghana like he was
@@AlkebulanJahmiah you are so correct. Other than that someone could encroach 🥵
Did you buy the tiles in Ghana?
Yes I bought them here in Ghana but I think they were imported from another country though
My sister’s in Tanzania as we speak. I may make the move if she moves, but I am taking a few of the western civilization with me 😂
Which ones would you be bringing 😂
Not bad at all is that in clyde fencing and concrete yard
The yard will be concreted and tiled on most parts
Hey man great house, why don't you get solar panels too, to cut down electricity bills
Yes that is the plan on the future
You should keep the Pawpaw and mango tree.
I planted another one, but I had to cut that big one down because it was cracking the foundation 😔

I think the bathroom colour should be a lighter colour
Oh I love the bathroom so much lol but my kitchen is horrible and don’t match the rest of the house 🙈
Bro I need the carpenter number made the chair... are you going to pave outside floor
Yes I’m definitely going to pave in front and on the side where the story building with be. I will have grass on the left side of the house where the clothes line is. It will eventually be moved. There will be like 2 feet of grass coming off the front wall where the mango trees are and the rest will be paved. I’m praying for a small pool where the sand and stones are sitting 😮💨

This would be difficult for me. I was born and live in California!! I didn't see a kitchen, no curb appeal, no manicured lawn & shrubbery. I'm too used to an advanced modern Life. Sorry guys I'll stay here😁👍
Well that’s expected because you are accustomed to the European way of living. It will be hard to adjust to this for some people. I do have a kitchen but I didn’t post it because the tile on the floor and the walls look like my grandma picked it out so I never completed it because I’m tearing that out and getting some newer tiles that look more modern like my living room.

You know I said the same thing. Not sure how long it will take for them to start growing.

@@webelonginafrica44 cool.
Bad plumbing and bad roads. Nothing grows the climate too hot. Landscaping! I never even seen a blade of grass.
There is good plumbing here. Who lied to you? Everything grows here faster than In the states most of the year things are growing like crazy. How do we have watermelon, oranges, mangos, tomatoes, okra, corn, rice etc? Just because I don’t have grass and don’t want grass don’t mean it don’t grow here. My entire compound will be tiled just like most of the other compounds here. I’m not bringing the American way of life here, if I want that I can go back to America. I love Africa because it’s not America. Americans love grass. This is Africa. People don’t want to be cutting grass when you can be doing something else, however many mansions have grass as well as many businesses. I don’t want to cut any grass or pay anyone to cut it.
You are lying, people grow alot of stuff there in Ghana, even though its hot. When fox cant get the grape, they say its sour.
@@juliettebennette9840 that guys an idiot don’t mind him.
How much does it cost to build a like that in Ghana?
Depends on the size. Building materials have went up a little bit but you should still be able to get something like this around 70k or less.
@webelonginafrica273 is that with land included? Probably not right?
@@AbdulAziz-mu6kq yes with the land
@webelonginafrica273 outstanding. Might be overstepping and my apologies if I am, but would you help steer people who come from the states that won't to come their to live on how to go about navigating the process of buying land and building?
@@AbdulAziz-mu6kq yes I think that would be a good idea as well.
And if you purchased land in America, and built on it, you would own the land and the house. Which is not true in Africa, building a house bit by bit never cross people minds in America , but it’s possible.
You say you own the land in America until you miss your yearly payments. Imagine retiring and having to still pay taxes on your so called land. Imagine trying to pay that when there is no more retirement left 🤦🏾♂️
Didn't see the kitchen
The kitchen is super ugly and has to be redone because it don’t match the rest of the house 😂
Where’s the kitchen?
The kitchen is here with some tile that is so ugly I have never shown it to anybody. It’s not even completed. I have not put cabinets, a sink or a stove inside because I will be changing out the tile when time permits.
Nice but you should have made the interior modern style like American high-rise not african style my bro.
When I was having it done I was in America and was sort of fed up with America 😆 I wanted to live the African dream since the American dream was not available for me lol
He's in Africa. The American dream didn't worked out.
@Willie Teb what I mean is, he should've put porcelain wood tiles, quartz countertops an open plan, now that's modern
@@kingface867 you don’t tell people how to do their thing
But do you own the land, or do it belong to the Ghana government?
It’s similar to how it is in America but here you won’t have it taken away from you as quickly. Here it’s leased whiles in America they lie to people and say it’s theirs but when you miss paying yearly property taxes it goes back to the original owners “the state”
