Here is my detailed guide on how to beat Annihilus in Marvel Contest of Champions. I will be going over the main problems, best champions and top strategies for making sure you win.

Great videos! The MCOC community NEEDS guides on how to beat champs with just their base abilities.
If you look up how to beat a champ it's usually always when they've been the boss in the monthly Event Quest so extra nodes that confuse things.

Finally somebody makes a series to defeat champs instead of how to use it. Hopefully you’re able to cover most of the annoying ones.
I would start with the newest champs and work your way back. Will increase your views more.

You can also use a slow champion to prevent him from going unstoppable. Armor Break also removes the rod for some reason, may be a bug
Going backwards:
Armour break counts as a nullify for armour buffs in some scenarios. Works on nodes like Return Policy
Slow. Really excellent point I hadn’t considered. This makes Sorcerer Supreme an even better option as she can nullify the rod, inflict slow and regen blocked damage. An excellent option. Other great slow options include Shehulk and her great damage and stealthy the same. Just be careful as he can be quite squishy
Just want to give a mention to Dragon Man. There are three features that make him a good counter to Annihulus:
1) If he receives an armor break he inflicts degen;
2) Constant power gain
3) Both a hero and a metal champion;
Point 3 means you can use the White Magneto prefight (as mentioned in the video) but it's not really necessary. Just let Annihilus hit against your block. The resulting armor breaks will inflict him with degen. The power gain will allow you to weave in regular special 2 or special 3 attacks. Make sure to avoid heavy attacks from Annihilus.
Don't disagree with anything said. A really nice breakdown. The degen is nice, but imo in a much longer fight it isn't as impactful as I personally would like it to be. Always seems much more when you are the one suffering from it...
However, sp3 spam with DM will alway give some good results as you can just go nuts as regen a large chunck of any damage you take. A shame that Annihilus is incinerate immune and we can't remove the CCR so no big detonations, but the furies are still nice
@@mcocencyclopedia well, obviously he isn't the *best* counter - but his abilities do make him a better counter than a lot of other champions and if you don't have one of the better counters then he is definitely worth consideration 🙂
Shang chi is one my fav options for him...
Idk if its a fluke or blind luck but with onslaught I was able to parry every time without getting rid of the ccr
sooo..if staggers also break his control rod, then wouldnt the buffed up juggs be a good counter now?
you can get some unstoppables on u and just hold heavy till he comes to u and put 2 staggers on him.
Yes, but if you are awakened then you can use the nullify on basic hits ;)
