Thanks for watching!
Superb video Eric and AJ Goin. Really impressed you’re investing this time and energy to helping pilots around the world, regardless of whether they train or buy from you. Much respect! I wish this resource was available 8 years ago.
Thanks for the kind words Lee! Our mission has always been to help people be the best Aviators they can be!
I love these videos! I know they are a few years old now but I still would recommend some chase came footage for this just so that left is left and right is right. Great stuff.
As a whitewater kayaker, the way to battle oscillation makes sense. In rapids, the hip you chose to lift when getting pushed by a strong current is often counter-intuitive and takes practice to learn. AJ's explanation on how to use/ not use brakes makes sense to me. Great work on the video!
After training I'm flying at my home LZ getting ocilations... I really appreciate this content because yea flying is the easy part but theirs so much nuance to in flight energy management and it is not intuitive... Thank you for putting this information out, it's making the PPG community better, safer pilots!
I like this kind of video, they are not the lessons but they give excellent advice ... thanks keep it up!
Tell us something about barrell rolls;)
These are the most helpful videos i've seen about continuing your understanding of PPG after instruction... THANK YOU! Please keep these videos coming. I'd like to see some motor out scenarios and the steps to take in order of importance so I have them ready in my mind if/when I should encounter this situation.
Good tip AJ. I will remember this for my April class. 👍😎👍
I've gotten pretty instinctive about stopping oscillation an can null it out pretty quick. Being winter I sometimes inadvertently start one while I'm moving around trying to put my gloves on. I don't like to have them on during actual launch. Great video though!
WELL DONE, Nice to see someone address this common issue !!!
Excellent, thank you 👍
Excellent! Great info...Thank you!!!
Thank you!
Thanks I will be looking foreword to more content like this.
Awesome AJ, well done
Awesome video AJ.Thanks
Thank you so much.
Great information, especially for us new guys. Thanks for sharing and look forward to the next one!
What an amazing video and such a huge contribution to safety. Looking forward to more
Thank you for a very good video! Doing my training with an instructur right now,and this is the type of info i want. Very informative. Thanks!
Hi ,
I like your videos !!
Please Keep shooting more...
Well explain AJ fly baby fly.
I have been in this situation, (though we called it 'tic tock') and the initiator was ridge lift on one side of the wing, and overcompensation with the opposing brake. Similar correction, but mostly... Make a conscious effort to 'underreact', or even, ignore the oscillation altogether. In that case, even if the oscillation progresses a few extra cycles, the amplitude shrinks, as opposed to growing (positive feedback).
Is it 6pm yet? 😂 reminder set.
I always pull the side that Im just starting to swing towards so I don't have to look at the wing 👍
I want to bring more paramotoring to Kansas City Missouri!
Great new series! Looking forward to more.
I sometimes experience oscillations right after takeoff during climb out and at full power. So not safe to reduce power yet and of course low to the ground. I'm just waiting them out and they're not particularly scary. Any advice for that specific situation?
Hands up and keep power constant... simples
I've owned/flown a wing that self oscillates. Hand up, constant power, not enough. Some wings require active piloting... NOT so 'simples'.
Why would a wing oscillate when it is over loaded?
First!
How is that even possible?
Haha skills
That Is called dedication.. :D
Another way to stop oscillations: Don’t buy a wing that oscillates.
ALL of them will, given variable wind conditions....
Great video, I need all the help I can get considering Matt forced me to jump from a spider 22 to a snake 3. 16. I think Matt is trying to kill me.
Hi Andrew, I'm so sorry to hear that someone did that. We'd be glad to help you get on the right glider for you. Please email me: eric@aviatorppg.com
