He was so hurt when he was telling that story, it was sad. It wasn’t the pressures of being in the industry, he’s been stuck since he was a teenager.
I'm so happy to read how much everyone of all races loved this mans legacy and body of work. He may have been dealt a shitty hand but he still did the best he could. And he did it all without lying or hiding his demons. Many look at it as a sad story but I see it as the best way his story could've turned out. Great precious memory
I live in a small town in sc. One time I stopped at a stop sign on back road and looked over and seen DMX on a 4-wheeler. We yelled his name and he came over and talked to me and my mom for 20 minutes. Coolest down to earth famous person I've ever met. He even helped the local Waffle House mop the floor one night. RIP
