Its our last night tonight. We had a great time. We scuba dived everyday. Miss ethels piano bar was my favorite. The live saxophone show was insane. The service was great. I loved it. We stayed in the riviera so we could pretty much walk to everything.
Glad yall enjoyed it. We didn't scuba dive but that's on my to do list
I have a trip here in 23 days . I am still very excited. After watching your video I feel like you guys just kept comparing it other Sandals. And even in the end your complaints were things that I do know from doing research. The large property, long drive to the resort. For the amenities being offered for the price I plan on having a great time. I will surely come back once I get done so I can be sure that was the case lol .
You'll still enjoy. We did. Just if I could have it my way, I works change those things :)
I enjoy ochi! The size and layout make it perfect for groups! I don't know about you guy, but with my friends you might want to break off for a while, and it's easy at ochi! 😂🇯🇲

I’ve never stayed in a little room at Ochi only the Romeo and Juliet Butler Villa suite and it actually has two sides with a private pool and a Jacuzzi, on one side, you have your living area with your sitting area and and things and then on another side you have your bedroom with the bathroom.. which we paid over seven grand for not too cheap in my opinion, so did you guys just have a standard room? I mean you get what you pay for maybe you should upgrade to a bigger suite next time, We only stay in suites so we never have this problem with small rooms regardless of what sandals we choose, but Ochi is one of our favorites.. and yes,Ochi is one of the biggest Sandals resorts and it does have two sides Hillside and Beachside… we got married at Sandals Royal, Bahamian in Nassau Bahamas also had the Butler Villa suite with the semi private, dipping pool that was actually our least favorite resort was in the Bahamas. the Butlers suck the food was mediocre. The best thing about that resort in the Bahamas was probably the private island.
We had Butler in the Bahamas. We're actually going back next year. The butler we had was ok, but we wasn't using the service properly as it was the first time. But a guest that came with us Butler was on point. Overall, we enjoy Sandals and plan on continuing to keep going.
Thank you for your honest opinion!! My husband and I are going with my brother and sister in law in a couple of weeks. We are getting excited. We have been to 2 other sandals so far. Our first was St Lucia at La Toc for our honeymoon and just did Emerald Bay in the Bahamas. We didn't do the butler level in St Lucia and learned that we definitely should for Emerald Bay and that was great. We are going to Ocho Rios for 7 days in the Butler Village. Did you guys rent any cabanas? I am a little bummed that you have to pay to have a cabana and its for the day only! We are big golfers and we aren't going on this trip because of their stipulations since it's off of the resort. But, for 5k for 7 days butler level, that is a bargain. Our next trip we plan to go in a few years to Saint Vincent when the cost drops a little! I am glad you guys made the most of your trip to Ocho Rios! Thank you for all of the tips. 🖤
St Lucia is on our radar. We will be going back to the Bahamas next year. Hopefully we like the upgrades.
Sandals Ochi is the cheapest option of the sandals properties. I have a 5 day trip booked in May for UNDER $2,000. That’s a steal to get out of USA. I don’t mind the older rooms and no elevators. Thanks for your opinion about the resort and inserting pictures/ videos for reference.

@@marriageandenjoyinglife first time at sandals. Been to Jamaica before. I decided to start from the bottom then work my way up to the “nicer” sandals resorts.

My husband and I are going to this resort first week of May! We are excited - I know I’ve read not some great reviews and then also read a lot of awesome reviews. I know it is one of the cheapest sandals resort and oldest one too. Initially we almost booked the hill side butler service and then after doing my research since I’m a beach person I said it wouldn’t make sense bc of how big the resort is I’d rather be closest to the beach side. So we are staying riviera honeymoon club level ocean front which I do believe is closest to almost all the restaurants on that side? How was the beach club side pool vs the one by the great White House? I know that one is the biggest pool but how would you compare the two ? Which one is poppin/better ?
All the party fun is by the big pool. So if you're not on that side, you'll be catching the hop to get there daily.
Taking my wife and kids here in 3 weeks. I heard Mostly great reviews. It seems you started with the higher end ones, because you didnt really like OCHI but you are comparing it to Royal which is waaay more different in every aspect.

We will totally come meet you for your wedding. Is it at Royal Bahamian? You guys seem like friends we would meet and hang out with on vacation. Surprised you didn’t like Ochi, we’ve been to 4 Sandals resorts and if I was told I could go back to any of them for free, I would pick Ochi. It is big but that’s what we loved about it. So many places to hang out, so many restaurants to choose from and the snorkel and scuba picks you up right from the doc. All 3 beaches were very nice and we were in the butler village so we had our own pool in our backyard. It is a long way from the airport but we enjoyed the ride watching the coastline the whole. Have you all stayed at Montego Bay? How did it compare to Ochi?
We've been to Montego Bay but stayed at the royal Caribbean. Mo Bay is next on the list, after the Bahamas. We enjoyed the royal Caribbean. Check out that review.
