      @Don Riller you do know that Jamaican patois is a product of African accents blending together with English in the islands during the colonial era. There's a reason why pidgin English (a varied form of English spoken in Nigeria) sounds similar to Jamaican patois as the slaves and their descendants share similar origins and ancestry with West Africans. In simple terms, learn you history big man

    • @jamaicanbeauti8834
      @jamaicanbeauti8834 Před 3 lety +4

      @Don Riller I am Jamaican living in Jamaica. The issue is not about anyone using the sound to create its the lack of acknowledgment from our Afican brothers and sisters when they get success with the Jamaican sound and style. When the Fugees used our Sound etc to rise to fame they acknowledged Jamaica even brought in Jamaican Artist on their performances and spoke of Jamaica's Huge Contribution to the 🌎 Musically Sports Dance moves etc. What we are seeing is the certain ppl trying to go around the Obvious Facts that the recent international success of the African Artist like Burna Wizkid Tekno Runtown kojo funds Shatta is due to fusing their Afro beat sound with Heavy Baseline from Jamaican dancehall Music which all began with the young African youths hanging out and creating with the young Jamaicans youths in London. I know this bcuz I live both places Kingston and London. All the youths in UK speak Jamaican Patois so it's silly and quiet selfish of the African fans to deny Jamaica when success comes by saying but aren't we all Africans that's beside the point. That's the same as when whites steal Black land artifacts etc the excuse is Well aren't we all originally from Africa. We as a ppl must Respect each other's creativity and give credit where it due that's the only way forward

      Oyaator Bhoy u didn't need to use those words but since u did. Na God go punish ur papa n ur mama. Having said that. I live in uk n many jamo are ignorant like u about Africa. They claim they've been taught about Africa being the root. But if u ask them to visit then they become interested n ridiculous. For economic reason I'd rather travel to naija or any African countries. Usually we go to our parents house for visit not the other way. Fool

      Don't you know where the Father of your father comes from ?!
      It pains me to see how blood denies blood.
      I neva been to Jamaica... Never had a Jamaican friend.. and yet, somehow, I am drown to Jamaican music, history, Culture, women, etc.. Part of it is because I know History.. part of it is because People like Burna Boy are there to remind me, while entertaining me, how much Jamaica and Africa are family...
      It's a shame you missed that point...
