    For those interested, most of the music on this one is from Miyuki Sugiura's 1986 album, Ten At Night. Here is a link to the full album 😉czcams.com/video/lQTKHbPf-l8/video.html

    those macross keshi and the fist one...I had those keshi when I was a kid...around the 80's...I'm an Indonesian and I remembered they were packing those robots keshi with plastic bags as well...hmm...memories...thx for bringing this up

      I think some of these were common toys among children in the 80s in Singapore, and I believe Malaysia and Indonesia too. Watching this video is like revealing a deep hidden memory which could have been buried forever.

    A really good mix. Do you ever find many Gatchaman ones. I’ve only got one so far.

    • @TOKYOTOYBANZAI
      @TOKYOTOYBANZAI  Před 2 lety +1

      I do! The next time I find more Gatchaman I’ll set them aside for you Dave! Will try to make this series semi-regular, so I’ll have piles of this stuff 😆

    really fun video, i started binging your junk bags videos the other day and i love them, even if i prefere the videos were you talk.
    i wanted to ask how do you distinguish the rarity and where these keshi come from the series ecc, do you use some resources, like books or sites?

    • @TOKYOTOYBANZAI
      @TOKYOTOYBANZAI  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for the input! As for rarity with keshi, it's really tough. There are so many different series and versions. I only know a small percentage of what is actually rare, and this is just because I often visit the places to find them and know a few people who know way more than me. I know more about DBZ keshi than most people though, so it is my specialty :)

      oh, one more thing, the guy that runs Mandarake Microkan (where i get all my keshi junk bags) publishes a series of keshi encylopedia / price guides - but of course they only cover a fraction of all the stuff that is out there (so far). They are called "Compu-Rex" and some of the volumes, while very small books, can sell for $100-$200.

      @@TOKYOTOYBANZAI thanks for the answer, yeah i got the idea from your videos that it was a bit of a wild west situation with keshis, since there are a lot of them and not a lot of ways to get info on them, if i will ever be able to get to japan i will try and search those volumes,maybe i can find some, here in italy keshi are not really popular, even if there was a period during the early 2000, when i was growing up, that somenthing came out, i rememember having some pokemon keshi.

    *Correction - the "Dragon Quest Dude" @ 1:35 is actually "Olibu" (Olive) - a throw-away character from DBZ. (My son told me the that too, but I ignored him 😅) Thanks to Dimitri for confirming that my son was indeed correct 🙌

      Thanks man! I used some color processing to try and make it look a bit more retro and colorful, I think it mostly worked! Some areas didn't process properly, but I'm probably the only person who really notices :P If you are after the armored DBZ keshi, I made a video with all the series names and info: czcams.com/video/RVKNvxxji5M/video.html

    I wish they sold lines like that State side. Considering how big blind box items are, I think they'd do fairly well.

    Really fun video. The first song was a banger! Also, hit me with the nostalgia. I somehow wound up with that half tree dude as a kid. I remember being fascinated by the leaf on his shoulder. Totally forgot he existed until I saw him in the vid!

    Do you display these? If so how do you have them set up?

    • @TOKYOTOYBANZAI
      @TOKYOTOYBANZAI  Před 2 lety

      I used to have a pretty neat display set up (i believe you can see it in a couple of my old videos from a few years ago), but these days i keep them protected from dust and sunlight in clear plastic jewerly cases. They are easy to fit loads of keshi into, organize them and stack them up. Easy to pull out specific ones and take a look at them without having to open them.
