Thanks for showing this video . Now I understand it's not a good idea to make dark area 100% like the reference. I always follow the reference exactly , but in the end I find that my drawing is not close to the photo reference.
Hello I just found you, and love your art. I watched your paper reviews good points.
My problem is I mix up my media I use "Gel Crayons" and watercolor pencils along with wax pencils in my art.
When layering I'm building up too much wax and then the paper wobbles bc of water I apply.
I do have very expensive Fabinao WC paper 140 lbs. HOT PRESS but will only use it for serious art.
I love to.paint retro animation cartoons do you do this? If not can you recommend someone who can teach me ?
Basically I am still learning.
I use colored pencils and water colored pencils and I use ☆ (Caran D'Ache Neo2 water crayons).
If you never heard of them top of the charts for "watercolor gel crayons"

Do you teach any if these techniques ?
