This was the very best video I have watched on fixing anything on CZcams! Clear, concise, professional with a soft voice that showed confidence...the voice became a ittle too quiet at the end. Thank you!! Now I just have to find those parts.
Tried charging using phone charger and couldn't understand why it didn't work then I watched this little vid and used the supplied brick. Success!! Thanks. 👍
Ohhhh ok, I was using a different adapter. Now it works
I love ue megablast....excellent....
how do you use the main adapter that comes with the UE Boom with the other adapters for foreign countries? I cannot figure it out and want to take my speaker to Europe with me...thanks
If you plan to leave it in a fixed area can it stay on the base while in use? Or is like a phone. Once its fully charged they recommend you remove it from the charger?
On boom 3 their is no light on the box coming on, the charger does sooft lighten
My cord broke, and I want to get the charging pad, but does that come with a cord? If not where can I buy a cord separately?
will UE boom sell the Teal blast or mega blast?
You’d think they’d include a cable with the dock just incase, but now.
Why doesnt the boom 3 come with a powerbrick? Does the powerup come with an adapter orso. There is hardly any information on the websit, kind of bad. Also find it weird that a powerbrick isnt supplied beausing using wrong voltage can ruin the battery basically
Supplied adapter?!?!? Boom 3 does not come with it, also would expect the powerup to come with one... Why is that??? Perhaps you should state voltage/watt/ampere so people dont brick that system or battery. Even your website does not state anything of such informatio, that is kind of bad!
I'm thinking that the correct specifications for the original adapter would be 5.1 volts at 2 amps.
That is written as 5.1v , 2A ( or 5.1v , 2.0A)
Make sure it says on the charger AT LEAST 2 amps (2A), however the voltage can be anywhere from 5.0v to 5.3v
The iPhone adapter that he showed is only 1A (1 Amp of power).
So it would not be enough power to use the dock or charge the speaker)
All phone and tablet chargers use around 5 volts (5v) , It is only the amps that are different depending on which charger you use.
Any Samsung Galaxy phone charger or a tablet charger of any brand should work..... Just as long as the charger power is AT LEAST 2 amps.
SO IF YOUR CHARGER IS SAYS THAT IT IS 2.4 AMPS (2.4A), THEN YOU SHOULD BE FINE.
You can read the back of the charger to see what its power is. Pay close attention to the decimal point in the number, if there is one. It is very important.
I would not recommend using a charger that is higher than 2.5 amps. Using a charger that is a higher amperage then that may cause damage to the battery slowly over time and eventually makes the rechargeable battery unusable.
@@REXXSEVEN Its just bad product presentation. Just checked it again, still not adjusted. No where there it say how much volt or ampere. Thats just bad! Its simply says charge and use charge part. Kinda wonder howmany people have complaint when they trashed it by using to much volts
@@REXXSEVEN Their powe adapter is actually 12v, so iPhone and iPad brick are fine. just takes longer.
But bottom of box says 5.1v 2a
@@RomboutVersluijs
Oh okay, it looked to me like he was holding an iPhone adapter that was used on older iPhones , the older iPhone adapter have very low power. I actually have the one that he showed. But as far as the newer iPhone adapters that have higher power, those probably will work as long as its 2A (2 Amps)
What do I do if I don’t have the little back thing
Disappointed I bought a little unicorn ultimate ears last week and this power charger is not suitable. Now, I have to buy a different model to fit this power dock
My speakers won't turn on "automatically" when I place them on the base... Is there any settings I have to make in the app? Thanks
I have the Megaboom 3 and ordered the wireless charging base. Even when using the power brick that came with the speaker, once the speaker is on the base, the LED blinks and then shuts off, not allowing the speaker to charge. Do I have a faulty power brick?
Same issue here, I tried swapping the speaker and the dock and it still seems to do what you're describing. Have you found a fix for it?
FuzzyWuzzyHadHair I’m using an apple iPad charging brick now and it works just fine. So this video is false lol
@@andrewmoser3564 I find it horrible customer service and misleading. THey sell something which cant be properly charged, if you use to much powr you ruin the battery
And than another shitty thing, they dont sell the brick?!?!? it says soon, which it probably says for months now
I just buy one but it's not working. The led is on for 4 secondes and then turn of and my megablast doesn't charge.
How will I know when the speaker stops charging?
My mega boom 3 didn’t come with a d ring to remove so I have no idea how to put the new one on? Does it not need it?
Can you leave the new D-ring on the speaker permanently and would the speaker still be waterproof ?
Tayo Ogunrinde good question. That’s why I clicked on this video. Have you found the answer yet else where?
I have one now & I always keep it on. Everything’s been fine & I've has the speaker in water many times
Hope this helps someone
Mine doesn't work anymore. The light flashes when I plug it in for about 30 seconds, and then turns off. It obviously no longer charges my Megablast. And yes, I'm using the included adapter...
Mine does the same thing. I put on my Megaboom 3 and it flashes quickly then turns off. It works when I put my Megablast on though... makes no sense
@@PeachRobot1000 mine does exactly the same, sadly I don't think there's a fix
Hello, i have a brand New power up and megaboom 3, and i have the Led who is blinkin fast. I use the usb power supply who was sold with the megaboom... Any idea why i have this issue ?
It's an external battery ?
So I found the same exact speaker on my job, it looks in perfect condition, not damaged at all, BUT IT WONT CHARGE OR TURN ON im sad, so if I buy this do you think it’ll help?
They should make apple adapters compatible with it. Oh well... I guess it's not a big issue anyways
how do you know its charged? base stop blinking?
Carla Walker yes the base will stop flashing when charged (only if the speaker is off, if you leave it on to play music or so it stays on so its connected to your wifi for the use of Alexa it'll keep flashing even when its full), you can press the + & - buttons simultaneously to get your charge reading.
Is the Boom 3 delivered with an adapter?
Because mine wasnt only with a cable
It sadly doesn’t, I bought mine on Black Friday and I am hoping to be allowed to return it
Today (January 7, 2023) The D-Ring wasn't necessary. No adapters are provided now. The DOCK'S charging input accepts the speaker's charging cord. SO, now, Instead of plugging ii into the SPEAKER, I plug it into the charging dock and plop the speaker on top. BAMMO! Steady light for the best Blue Tooth speaker on the planet. I write jingles. Played my latest through my Anker....then BOOMBOX 3. NIGHT to Day!!!
But this POWER UP charging dock is not something I can take with me to the, say, beach ? It is just for luxury, so I dont have to plug in the USB every time? PLease Answer Bye
Does anyone know if I can connect my UE Boom to MacBook Pro?
Yes. But switching between phone & mac I've found tricky - my mac is really old. So I might get another x
does a samsung fast charger work??
Your Samsung fast charger is most likely at least 2 Amps in power. So it should work. I would make sure that it is no more than 2.5 amps in power to be on the safe side.
Make sure it says on the charger AT LEAST 2 amps (2A), however the voltage can be anywhere from 5.0v to 5.3v
All phone and tablet chargers use around 5 volts (5v) , It is only the amps that are different depending on which charger you use.

How do I get a UE Charging Brick. My product didn’t contain one and my Power Up is a paper weight......
Follow up I found that a mini apple charger will work. It’s a model A1444 and has an output of 5v. Apparently these things are only happy if they are receiving reduced output.... what a shit design....
does this work with the BOOM 3?
@@REXXSEVEN picked one up! was super confused ages ago due to the lack of info on whether this worked with the Boom3
which one is more beautiful? UE BOOM 2? or UE BOOM 3 or UE MEGABLAST? or UE MEGABOOM?
The Booms can be paired with the Booms, but not the Blasts. I have 2 Boom 2, and just got 2 Megaboom 3
I can not hear whatever it is you are saying.
The bottom of my UE Boom 3 looks entirely different. So that's absolutely not helpful at all.
Big scam. The whole design of speaker was to need this pedestal. After a week of inconvenience of charging speaker, I took it back to best buy.
I have to buy the Boom 3, the Power Up and now the power adapter all separately? What an ass hole design.
Yes, unfortunately, I am just finding that out myself. Boom 3 only comes with a USB cord. I wonder whose bright idea that was?
@@jonmacie7581 I bought that thing a year ago and it went down in price substantially which I wasn't happy to see lol. It was their marketing people I'm sure
@@chucko83 I caught it for 80 bucks. At least I caught mine on sale. But now I realize why. Btw, I am using the USB cord plugged into a desktop computer and it is charging. So that's good news
I don't want my speaker to turn on when I'm charging it. I'll put it on the dock to charge over night. I turned the speaker off. I put it on the dock. It turns itself back on and pairs with my phone. I turn it back off because I don't want it paired to my phone while I sleep. It stays off for several hours, then at 3 AM it randomly turns itself back on and pairs with my phone. Now I have to get out of bed just to turn the stupid speaker off, that should've never turned on in the first place.
For the love of God make the speaker stay off when charging. It's a stupid feature. If you put it on the charger when you've TURNED IT OFF leave the speaker off. If I wanted the speaker on, I'd TURN IT ON.
@@funnyant711 Brilliant, I use Bluetooth in my car, Bluetooth at work, and Bluetooth when I'm walking, but I'll just turn it off every time I walk in the door. That's some real grade A thinking right there.
I also figured out that it doesn't automatically turn itself back on when it pairs, it automatically turns itself back on when it reaches a full charge, paired or not. I'll use it for a few hours, turn it off, set it on the charger, and it turns itself back on at 3 in the morning waking everyone in the house up. 🤡🤡🤡
You should be able to just turn it off on the app on your phone? …
@@funnyant711 pretty easy, but then it randomly turns on at 3am while I'm sleeping. How hard is it to read?
As 😂❤
If you get a boom 3 adaptor doesn’t come with it complete bullshit and if you buy the wireless charging kit it doesnt come with the ac adaptor either fuckin bullshit
Why are you whispering? Kind of helps to hear who is doing a review!
This thing is a piece of shit. I've had two that stopped working a few weeks after I bought them.
I have had my speaker for over five years, and I never knew this! Thank you
