Interesting Lift For SS Alpena on Mason Street - June 5th, 2023

The S.S. Alpena was on its way down the Fox River, and made its way upstream to the Mason Street Bridge. However, when the bridge operator set the lights to red, the lights on the west side of the bridge would not go red at all. All gate lights, and bells (west and east side) were functioning as intended, but the east side lights remained the only ones red. Eventually, DOT got to the bridge to set a bypass for that light and to bring the gates down and lift it without the west side lights being red.
