  • I see a lot of fuel pump failures in my shop, and the OEM replacements can be very expensive. Save yourself big bucks and fix it yourself! This procedure applies to almost every motorcycle, ATV and UTV that uses a fuel tank mounted pump system.
    Thanks for watchin', have a goodun'!

    Nice to see ya back posting videos again D-Ray, been a spell. Like the bleeder function that I haven't seen someone do on a gauge set up to do fuel pressure, that's an awesome feature, I will be all over borrowing that genius feature. Great time and money saver. Hope your keeping busy and all is well.

    2011 polaris ranger 800 fuel psi at 40-41. Having issues with cold starting and low rpm dieing. Runs great at idle once it finally starts and runs great at mid to high RPMs. New Tmap sensor and harness, new TPS sensor and harness and 4miles on the rebuilt 800. 🤦‍♂️

    Hey D-Ray, thanks so much for posting this video - it is awesome! I replaced the fuel pump in my Ranger 570 SxS and then checked my pressure, and it's reading 50+ psi... but I'm still having the same symptoms - it starts and will run for a couple of minutes, but then sputters and dies and then backfires. Any ideas what I should test next? Thanks in advance!

    Video 9/30/2018. Troubleshooting fuel pump
    Your video is quite old but I like the harness with quick connects to the pump and to the fuel line…. My sxs is a 2013 Polaris xp 900. Any chance of getting the quick connect part numbers you used? Not sure if the 570 in your video has the same size fuel hose and pump outlet as my 2013. Thank you

  • @yourselfdotcom

    The entire pump assembly is removable. Rebuildable and replacable for fractions over new complete assembly.

  • @timd8142
    @timd8142 Před 5 lety +4

    not for nothing but i read a comment on another polaris sportsman 570 video which has a almost identical fuel pump set up and it seems as if the fuel pump gets loose in the housing and the o ring on the pump output looses its seal and you loose pressure and there is nothing wrong with the pump at all. i stuck a piece of plastic on the back side of my pump and the housing to take up the space and keep the pump tight in the housing and fixed it like new. this is a piss pore design by polaris shame shame. thats what i get for buying Chinese instead of Japanese lol i bet a lot of people are buying fuel pumps that dont need them and this condition will always show up ass a bad pump polaris should issue a recall . hope this is helpfull

    D-Ray thx for part 1 & 2 for test ranger fuel pump. I bought a test kit and fuel pump was putting out 58psi. So where do I go now. 2013 Ranger Crew 800 EFI. Runs good at first but then bogs down, back fires stops. But it starts up and repeats the bog and runs ruff and backfiers. Again first of day runs good but then goes bad.

      Check your old pressure. Oil pressure valve starts to stick in the 700 and 800 polaris motors

    Love the Video"s and really like you helper ! Anyways got a 2013 4 - Seater 800 RZR - with very low hours -------- all me and Grandma ever do is give the grandkids rides ------ it's been to the river 1 time.
    Well anyway can't hear the fuel pump cycle anymore ---- I've got 5.2 volts going to it ( is that cool ? -- shouldn't it we 12 Volts ? ) on the first wire on the plug. Engine cranks , but no fuel and of course no start. Can't believe fuel pump is out with so little hours on it .... Your thoughts ?

    I have a 2016 that was running hot, I replaced the top end (the piston had a hole burnt in it) along with a new injector. Its seems to be starting, idling and running fine now, but I removed the spark plug the other day and it still seems to be running hot. Could insufficient fuel pressure be the culprit?
