I use the same 6x8 storage system for my stencils. I had been using a 6x6 scrapbook album, but then I needed a home for my larger stencils. So I switched to a Simple Stories 6x8 album and now everything is all together. Instead of cardstock though, I use colored copy paper behind my stencils so that I can see the designs. And instead of keeping the backer sheet, I just used my label maker to create labels for my stencils. Now I just need to USE the stencils. :)

I like the idea of using copy paper as a backer since it would add less bulk than the cardstock but I do find the manufacturer backer sheets helpful as I tend to think of products by their manufacturer. But I often have to make labels with the stencil name anyway so I can certainly see why you would prefer it. Worth considering going forward since many already don't have a manufacturer sheet. Thanks for sharing your tips!

I bought the 6 x 8 scrapbook album for my stencils and my 6 x 8 large stamp sets. I find that it does save me space and it declutters my mind. I love that I can just leaf through my albums to see which stencil or stamp set I can use.

Yes! Being able to flip through them is so satisfying. My old albums never laid flat and I sometimes had to check multiple. Liking this system much more.

Thanks for sharing this system, Jess. I’m struggling to find the right system for my stencils. This may be a good solution for me as well. 😊

Love this idea! I have had my stencils in a bin and just don't use them that much so I'm going to switch over to a binder like this. Think they will be easier to see what I have and actually use them. What categories did you sort yours into? That will be helpful when I start setting mine up. Thanks!!

Hi I like your reasoning, it seems logical for how “I” like to look for storage solutions. However, early in the video you mentioned 7x7 stencils, how are you storing them?

Sorry for the confusion but I was trying to say some of my old storage albums were 7x7 which didn't work for all my stencils. Thanks for watching!
