  • Quick video showing what the Milwaukee Eight (M8) 107” sounds like with the baffle wrap removed from the Bassani Road Rage 2 into 1 Short megaphone.
Note: The baffle is installed in this video, it just does not have the fiber glass wrap on it.
Removing the baffle was pretty straight forwards. Remove the 2 Allen head bolts underneath the megaphone, remove the exhaust tip, then using either a slide hammer or a hook tool for leverage, hook the center bar of the baffle and bang it outwards until it comes out.

I bought the same pipe and did the same, but the whistle noise that came with removing the wrap drove me nuts. Currently trying to fab up a Big city Thunder baffle for the pipe. When I bought the Bassani I was thinking short pipe would equal to louder. I guess I just miss the way my twincam sounded. Ride safe 🤙🏽

Can you explain this whistle sound? I have a very similar pipe and have been chasing a whistling noise on light d-acceleration for awhile haha

@@johnnycorvette4242 I’ve been calling it the Harley diesel motor lol. Now that my baffle is a little corroded I don’t notice it as much.

Yeah I’ll see if I can throw something together. Bike has been down for a battery, should be back up tomorrow.

Got the same basanni exhaust, wanted to get a update from you on how you feel about taking the baffle wrap off? Are you liking the sound and is the whistling sound pretty bad? Now that you hear it would you do it again?

I got tired of the whistle, so I re-wrapped the Baffle using some fiberglass material from Amazon. I actually think now it sounds better than it did with the factory wrap, and the whistle is gone.

How’d you get it out ? I removed the two bolts at the end of the pipe , seems like that baffle is tight in there

Best thing is with a slide hammer, I ended using a pry bar that was curved on both sides, hooked the center of the baffle with one end of the pry bar and smacked the other end with a hammer. Came right out

I wouldn’t say required, but I would say recommended anytime you change the exhaust that’s more air out which means you should change your intake, which is more air in which will change your air ratio. Why you need to put a commander on it. I run Thunder Max.
