    Home prices in Central America have always confused me. With populations of 3 to 5 million and an average income of $26,000 in Panama and $17,000 in Costa Rica, how are the prices equivalent to the US market. The demand given the population density alone has to be extremely low.
    And the fact that you can only get 600,000 visitors a year, most of which aren't visiting to house hunt, make for a very small pool of people that can purchase an American Style home. The Grand Canyon, which has zero homes for sale, gets 10 times that many visitors a year.
    I guess I just don't see it.

    • @anniesshenanigans3815
      @anniesshenanigans3815 Před 9 měsíci +3

      because visitors will pay it. that is the ONLY reason they advertise internationally. Locals will not.

    • @mtngrl5859
      @mtngrl5859 Před 9 měsíci

      I don't really see what population has to do with, it seems like a false equivalency. In my area of Northern California, a condo with a beach view is around the 1.2 million dollar range. In Panama, one can get ocean front homes from around 400-600k, that's in the 4 million plus here in California. I will grant you that it doesn't get as warm here in California, but its untouchable except for the 1%. I have a friend looking at a 2 bedroom condo in Puerta Vallarta for about 350k, many condos are less here.

      You should come to the Caribbean and look at the prices, in the English speaking caribbean where wages are lower than you listed it's on a similar price level to Florida. Once you have an open market prices will be high if there's enough demand.

      There are a lot of wealthy Panamanians in Panama too. Some areas of Panama are much more affordable than others. Within a one mile radius of my house in Boquete, you can buy a house for $50,000, $70,000, $140,000, $200,000 to as much as $500,000. Work with Panamanian agents for the best prices!

    Panama is a beautiful country with beautiful Panamanian people. However, always be cautious. A patient almost died in the ED of a government hospital in Panama until the family moved the patient to another hospital. I am not saying that the government hospitals are bad, but only saying to do your homework as you will do in Canada or USA or any other country. There are good and bad providers

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  Před 9 měsíci +1

      patients die every day in hospitals all over the world. It's not necessarily the hospitals fault. Sometimes the patient waited too late to seek medical treatment so there is little the doctors could do to save them.

    • @PanamaRelocationTours
      @PanamaRelocationTours  Před 9 měsíci +2

      there are plenty of Panamanians in that community too. And the point for some is reducing your living expenses by about 60%!
