  • Horns for sale at www.trumpether... Considered by many a very impressive playing pro-like trumpet, it actually was intended as an Intermediate model, I believe. At any rate - it's got some nice charachteristics, some obvious upgrades in build, and it's an impressive player.
Played first with a GR64M-B mouthpiece, then a GR64FD, a Curry Vintage Cornet (VC), and lastly with a GR64MS.

Nice trumpet. Better than most intermediates from the sound. I have been very impressed with Kanstul made horns.

Thank you! :) I've been slacking off on vids - and purchases. :) I need to get back in the program.

We just bought one of these for my son who will be going into high school next year. It’ll be a nice horn for him. Overall hardly any dings but needs a smooth out on the little second valve side. I found this for just over $500 including tax. Valves are wonderful and it plays really nicely. I was also looking at a 4000 series Yamaha silver horn but this Kanstul Besson International blew that out of the water and was less expensive.

Congratulations, Jon. Finding a good horn at a good price is a challenge; but you've done it. :) I hope your son enjoys his trumpet and practices on it a lot! :)

Yes, it most often is. It's funny, but the drills (scales, tonguing, etc.) that I so detested in High School - I now do with enjoyment most every day. :) Good luck, Jon, with your boy's practice (I did little in school - the bare minimum) and life in general. :)

@@JonathanMilam1 I’ve started back playing after a 20yr hiatus. I just couldn’t get going with my own motivation so I started taking lessons. Now I’m working on Arbans and Clarke🤣

Jon, Good for you! I know I'm strange, but I rarely play out anymore. I enjoy doing scales, working on tonguing, range, etc. :) We're all different. :)
