it's amazing how much diference the 2 stages of the exhaust have, one loud and mindblowing and the other quiet and still mindblowing
when it opens up it still gives me goosebumps nomatter how many times i watch!
Basically all active exhaust is.. is a butterfly valve in the exhaust system that opens up at a set rpm or throttle position.
I'm sure it could be implemented onto any car with some easy modification.

I didn't mean variable valve timing isn't used in Ferrari cars just they do not need to market it as all others do.
Also Ferraris Engines have been free revving well before 95, for example the 8000 rpm V12 screamer in the GTO. And just making a high revving V8 screamer is not the same thing as having a gem like the Ferrari V8.
Even so by making it, Ferrari's are a breed a part and no other V8 sounds like a Ferrari V8, nor any other V12 sounds like a Ferrari V12.
Sounds so sweet.... Theres 3 exhaust notes in harmony (low, middle, and high) and you can hear em all lol

I definitely agree with you that a ten year old car won't have nearly the performance specs that cars today have since an e92 M3 will run the quarter in a 12.6 nowadays(not that I'm hating, i love bmw) but you buy this car for A) the fact it's a ferrari b) the old yet still beautiful design and C) that astounding noise you hear which may not make the car faster but sure as hell makes my heart beat faster.
i wonder if the people watching were thinking "thats the sound from a Ferrari?...thats it?" until 22 seconds when when the active exhaust kicked in lol then they were like "wow"

Buying a Ferrari isn't just buying a car or an engine, you're buying into a club, a lifestyle, and for most of us a fantasy hopefully changed into a reality one day.
Now can a Honda, a Mercedes, a BWM do that? Of course no one besides Ferrari could, with Porsche as a close 2nd. There is a reason why Ferrari is the top sports car maker in the world, always has been, and likely always will.

actually ive read that the cars of old outperform the newer ones because of the fact that theyre not as advanced...they dont have so many computers that limit performance
