    • @shesapples4845
      @shesapples4845  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi Natalia. Sorry for late reply. You can consider add more cords to the bag. Start with cords for the straps: On each side, the quantity of cords added should be divisible by 2. Depending on your desired size, but I would love to recommend to try on to add 2 cords on each strap. Let me know if anything is unclear. Thank you!

      Hi! With each knot of haft square knot, it needs around 1,5cm long with 3mm diameter cord.
      In short, for exp: to make 9 rows of haft square knots, you might need:
      (9*1.5cm)*2 + 10cm

    Thank you for this beautiful bag tutorial ♥ My question: Can I add the 1.90 cords closer to the handle and start the square knots from there so there won't be any gap of only strings? I want the body of the bag to start from the end of the handles....if possible should I use longer cords than 1.90?

    • @shesapples4845
      @shesapples4845  Před 3 lety +2

      Yes, you definately need longer cords, for every square knot added, you need to plus about 6cm more for each cord.

    • @shesapples4845
      @shesapples4845  Před rokem

      Hi! You can used braided cotton cord, I'd not recommend twisted cord because this type is usually heavy and too soft so it would not create a nice form for this bag.

    May I know if it's okay to cut the cord in 270 or 260 cm instead of 280. Cm ?

    • @shesapples4845
      @shesapples4845  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Lorraine! The actual length I used for the 280cm in the video is 255cm, but the type I used is core-less braided cord so I plus 25cm for each cord for other materials. I'd recomend that you could cut the cord in 270cm if you use 3 strand or braided cord. :) Let me know if anything is unclear.:))))

      Hi Federica Leoni! In this project, I used poly coreless cord which is very light. You can also use other cords such as braided cotton cord, coreless braided cord. I would not recommend types of soft cords for this project. Let me know if anything is unclear! Thank you

      @@shesapples4845 dear... i am really struggling to find a braided cord that wide. I found one which is more or less 2 mm but i am not sure it is the right one. The name is woollove macrame. Do you think that a twisted one 3 mm wide is suitable? I really want to realize this project..

      Last time I disturb you.... i promise :). What about the thai swan cord?

    • @shesapples4845
      @shesapples4845  Před 3 lety +1

      Sorry for all of your troubles finding cords. But definitely not Thai Swan cords. As I know, some type of poly cords (like cords in this project) have core cord ( which is Thai swan cord). So when work with these type of cords, I normally prepare all the cords as lengths for a project, then pull out the core cords and save for other projects. The cover cords are very light. Braided cotton cords are also recommended for this project. Swan cords can be suitable for some projects such as dresses, but not this bag because: 1. There’s slim chance that the bag could be shaped nicely. 2. Square knots are easy to get loose after a while. 3. Heavy. Since Macrame is quite popular, I hope you can find suppliers for braided cotton cords. And of course, every comment and interest from you means a lot, just drop me a line while finding cords, I might reply late ( sorry for that) but I definitely like to answer your questions. Thank you
