i woudnt worry about the rear main on the case unless it gets significantly worse on older engines you can replace the rear main and it will start leaking again a short time after. especially if that is a rope seal

Thanks for the advice! I’d rather not have to go through and split it. What about the leaking transmission fluid? Should that be sealed back up?

@@jakefromsteakfarm4177 if it's an easy fix then yes seal it but if it's a real big job I wouldn't worry about it either unless it got a lot worse. Old tractors are gonna leak I bet when you fix it it will leak somewhere else

Salt the hay, rock salt or clean white stock salt

If your twine is wrapping on the billhook, make sure your twine knife arm lightly rubs on the billhook. Also make sure there are no burrs or rough spots on the billhooks. If there are, hit them witb some high grit emery cloth. I bale with a NH273 and hope to upgrade to a 316 or 326 next year 🤣

I’ll check that! Is it also a possibility that the knot the connects a new bundle of twine can get caught in the bill hook?

@@jakefromsteakfarm4177 I haven't seen it happen but I'm sure it could. I've had knots hang up in the needle eyelet and pull the twine out of the twine disc though.

What did farmers do before they had the Internet or cell phones? It must have taken them longer back in days before this technology

Where did you get the straight pipes for both tractors?
