ya man, i hate tutorials that are like okay everything to get started but step 1 is actually like 10 steps ahead lol going to find a video that actually starts from the beginning.
For those that for any reason don't want to fight the Dvergr at all. Craft a cart outside their ward zone, then bring it in and sprint/ram your cart into theirs. Might need to repair the cart once, takes about a dozen or two solid rams. Then break the crate when it hits the ground with the cart and off you go. Later, just throwing a refined eitr near the crate will expedite future extractor acquisitions.
put the extractor right on that glowing "lines" makes it way faster when u have multiple extractors! and the roots recover after a while when the were empty ! u´re welcome :)
Pro tips: 1. you can use a cart to destroy the crates/ward by ramming them without angering the dvergr 2. soft tissue can also be found inside the black marble skulls. When mining it, start at the bottom, as if you mine out the bottom layer of tissue the rest will collapse and drop. Also, mine out the ground around it as there is a lot more black marble and tissue then meets the eye.
I died a bunch in the mistlands and I really was looking on twitch for people in the mistlands to help figure it out but this video did everything I needed it to-to get back into mistlands
I really should have watched this prior to running to my boat to get there lol. Thank you for taking the time to put out yet another quality and straight to the point video :D
Also, a very important point to add that I've learned from the refined Eitr. Once it is complete, NEVER place more than a few of them all together onto the floor of a building you've created, as they will destroy everything around you with fast flying flairs. Once they are created, instantly make sure they are retrieved and stored either in your internal storage or a chest. I sadly learned the hard way after I almost lost my roof. Once is enough for me to never do this again. lol Use as much black marble as humanly possible when you build your refinery building. Even a tall marble roof system. Use as little wood as humanly possible to prevent the flairs from burning down your building. The Refinery if not watched by the very top of the machine, will spit flairs out and do serious damage to your building. Be Careful! If you do not want a high black marble roof, just keep it open, but it will be attacked. Beware.
Great guide. Though a very important thing I didn't hear you mention. Soft tissue is not only collectable via Divergr crates. Those same bone remains that you mine for black marble , if you crack open the skulls themselves, there is soft tissue in the brain area.
Soft tissue can be mined from those skulls. Also you should have warned about the eitr extractor - while it processes the soft tissue, it will shoot out magic bolts which does damage to surrounding area.
I was excited to start Mistlands....entered right onto a 2* Soldier bug and died running towards the plains. Got my body back...died to the Gjaar jellyfish. I fell to my death after a pack of ticks jumped on me...I have no idea how im supposed to farm mats in this biome. Your video was informative but Im just dying horribly on repeat.
Get yourself a max level padded armor set and use the black metal shield. Blocking (and if you're good enough parrying) are almost essential with the late game enemies. unless you have roguelike dodging capabilities
Soft tissue isnt the fuel. The sap is the fuel. You refine the magic from the brains of dead giants by burning the sap. Look at the piping on the refinery.
This video really helped me even though I’m a certified hearth and home veteran but I was really struggling and at my first encounter was terrible as I got blown up by a gjall so now I’m terrified of going into the mist.
Yep, there s plenty of it there. He probably missed this or didnt mine down enough. Same w the rest of the skull/ribcage. You really have to dig down to get all of it, like w Copper Nodes in the BF.
Probably should have mentioned the refined eitr can damage you and your base if left out for too long. Also some of the "towers" can have dungeons in them but still a helpful video thx for the hard work!
Lure some Seekers or Gjal to the Dwarves, kill the Seekers once they kill the dwarves, in this way you will get the extractors without dealing with the dwarf mages wich are deadly
What i understand it would be more challenging than plains. I cant wait for the official release of Mistlands. Hope to see more different things that dont have in beta. At least I want to see how will the old world look like. Will still use my old world but create new one.
If you just want absolute, extreme simplicity on dvergr; just call them dwarves(what type of dwarf is not important right now). But if you want to pronounce it correctly - Say D as in drink, don't sound the D too heavily, and the V is basically W but more forward placed in the mouth. So, like this: dVergR and then roll BOTH of the R more frontal compare to the English R which is placed in the back. Scandinavian letters is sort of in the front seat of the mouth compare to English which is basically in the backseat of the mouth. I hope this helps a little bit! PS: I'm not a teacher so take this with a grain of salt, but I'm Scandinavian so I will teach how I would pronounce it with a more Scandianavian accent.
+1. This is typical of people playing in god mode all the time. "You just need to break the crate and get the Dvergr Extractor". yeah yeah ... Dvergr hit like trucks, mages will two-shoot you, if you have a two-star Mage, don't even bother breaking the crate. Because, yeah, they keep their agro once you're dead and come back ...
What if there was a whole backstory in the designs of these dungeons and bones (aka Skeletons). What if the dungeons that you're talking about is what killed all of those gigantic beasts. They look like Giants and a humongous Dragon. I wonder, what if they implemented little things about story in their designs. That'd be dope if they thought that far.
my first experience meet with dverger outposts i was chased by gjall and things happen until gjall made the outpost destroyed, i accidentally looted dvergr extractor and idk what was that for so i take it to my base so far from mistland and suddenly regret after know how it works 😭
hey brother, when you get some time, can you see if mobs attack whisp light torches? be nice to know in advance if they are targeted like work benches ect
Yggdrasil is pronounced ig-dra-sill with an "apple" type of 'A' sound, and dverger is pronounced dvur-gur, kinda like burger. You were actually quite close, since you were wondering.
My Biggest problem is My main Base in the Meadows. I have around 20 little bases all over but i can't build anything at those because i need my main base because it has everything there. Should i build another in the Mistlands? After so much building and having to have the right items close to one another in order to build the next Item would be unbearable if i have to start all over. I just got to the Mistlands and so far been using Portals just going back and forth. Also am i supposed to kill the Little dwarves to smash all the chest? I killed the first 2 not knowing they were friendly but now that i know they are friendly i kind of hate just to kill them? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I think all you need to build in the mistlands is a farming outpost, if you're alright with sailing the metal/no-portal mats back home. We resettled our main base on a tiny plains coastline bordering several biomes, not far from the Ashlands, so access to every biome is only a short distance away.
@@bluesight_ Unfortunately after putting in over 1,000 hours in all my World saves got corrupted. Really Sucs because I loved the Game but can't start over from Scratch. Maybe ina few year's but I haven't played since. I'm still very upset about it. All that time wasted.
General question: did the Mistland Update also add stuff to the other biomes? I came across a tree abomination in the swamp area which I havn't seen before.
I like playing on servers for this game.... irongate really needs to think about replenishing resources, like 10 people on the same server operating alone or in pairs will eat through all the depletable resources and some may not get the items. Rare things like those sap collectors, maybe everyone gets the chance to get 1 or 2. But the soft tissue, that everything needs to craft and upgrade, there's no way there is enough.

Look, I'm not saying that sap is radioactive, but it's radioactive
Sounds like a frikkin' grind to get through the misty lands...
Tons of soft tissue in the skulls of the skelly's
You should be able to buy extractors from Haldor instead of having to kill those friendly Dvergr.
Ideally, you should FIRST cover setting up the Mist Fountain so you can make a Mist Light and Mist Torches.
You can get soft tissue inside of the sculls... that's like a super important thing imo ;)
Now that I’ve had some mistlands experience I can finally watch all of your guides on mistlands without getting spoilered xd
you should start your tutorial from wisp fountain and wisplight
