    Hello Dr Been. Great job as always. In regards to the open forum I have a few questions:
    1. Do one have to take the 2nd shot from the same vial or batch of a chosen mfr. ?
    2. If you miss the 2nd shot or ended up with another vial for the 2nd shot what would happen to the individual?
    3. How critical the 2nd shot timing is ?
    4. What medications need to stopped or food need to be avoided?
    Thanks in advance 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Thank you for presenting this information in such an understandable presentation! I have a few questions: Did you come across any data regarding the incidences of side effects and severity of side effects in either study? Also, did either of the studies indicate the ingredients used in the placebos (i.e. true neutral saline solution vs adjunct placebo, or an already approved vaccine placebo)?
    My wife has already had asymptomatic case of covid and only has IGg antibodies at a detectable level. Since we're at an almost 0% risk of contacting a severe case of covid 19 we're much more concerned about the risks associated with the potential side effects of the vaccine.

    mRNA I listen to a medical lecture - it hasMF59 squalene which was in the gulf war syndrome causing many illnesses and deaths of soldiers. Also, the lecture stated an uptick in hospitalizations more due to hypoxia of mask-wearing - those who wear for hours - shortness of breath plus anxiety putting them in hospital, not COVID19. Also vaccines: my question if 99.5% of folks will never get COVID19 seriously, 80% asymptomatic or mild, then why would we even need to get a vaccine? Instead, concentrate on the Vits you recommended plus proper diet to maximize immunity to be the best. Just do not understand why vaccines when so few die .023 and most of us will not even get COVID19. Thank you

    What is a placebo group?

    • @shellyscorner
      @shellyscorner Před 3 lety

      @xxxPassiexxx Simply put... When testing a drug treatment for any illness they recruit as many people as possible. They divide them into two groups. The treatment/experimental group and the placebo/control group. These trials are called double blind studies because neither the people administering the drug being tested and control treatment, nor the people receiving the drug being tested or placebo knows who's getting what. My understanding is that participants are given numbers and names are not used to identify anyone. So the experimental group gets the real drug. The control group does not.
      This method of trial treatment does two things. One is that it helps identify how well the tested treatment does or does not work. If the treatment works, the people assigned to the treated group do better, but the people in the placebo group generally do not. The second thing that this method of testing provides is the data regarding side effects. The group that received the real treatment may have side effects and are in fact instructed to report EVERYTHING from fatigue, dizziness, headaches, etc. The control group gets the placebo (ie: saline injection or sugar pill) is ALSO instructed to report any "adverse events" or side effects. Everything again, from headaches, fatigue, body aches, etc. In other words, BOTH groups are given the same instructions. So the trial is about determining how well the new treatment works and what side effects it may cause.

    • @Fedko3037
      @Fedko3037 Před 3 lety +1

      The “placebo “ groups get the meningitis vaccine, so it’s not a true placebo. They will get any side effects or damage from that vaccine if susceptible to them. This waters down the comparison of adverse reactions between groups. Makes the covid vaccine look safer.

    In truth, out of a total 19 people who were vaccinated and caught COVID-19 anyway, 1 became severely ill. That's not a big sample and I don't think we yet know why anyone becomes severely ill with this. I suspect there is some commonality, but I haven't seen any studies pointing anywhere yet OTHER than Vitamin D and/or immune system status. Have you?

    Flawed reasoning. Only 11 and 9 severe cases. that's what counts. It's not statistically relevant.
    Whether a case becomes severe or not depends on many factors related to the patient itself.
    With only 185 and 162 cases, that's a very small group to assume that the severe cases are representative of a bigger population because those low infection numbers (also in placebo) are a matter of very low exposure to infections.
    This if further illustrated by the wide discrepancy between the severe in the two placebo groups 5.5% to 16.2%
    In fact the Pfizer Placebo (severe) is then better at 5.5% because much lower than the Pfizer vaccinated (severe) at 12.5%
    LOL
    The only conclusion is that the trials are statistically underpowered to prove efficacy in sever disease.

    Based on this evidence, if cost was not a consideration I would choose the Moderna vaccine. My one reservation is that Moderna haven't seemed to have been as open and honest in their previous disclosures, perhaps because they are totally commercial, so I don't really trust them.

    You may not have much choice which vaccine you are offered. Most people will end up getting which ever vaccine their provider has available. It will probably be a full year before most of the world has been vaccinated. Probably is wiser to take what ever you are offered than to wait & search for your preferred vaccine. Of course I'm not advocating for anyone to take a Chinese or Russian vaccine even if offered tomorrow.
