- Traditional Mongolian Music. During our "Help for Heroes" H4H Horse Riding Challenge we visited Kharkhorum, the ancient capital of Mongolia. The ethnic traditional Mongolian group "Kharkhorum" consists of talented musicians who perform a variety of songs including throat singing (khumei), long songs, short songs and solo performances on the moriin khuur (horse head fiddle), yatga (zither), yoochin (dulcimer) and a Mongolian contortionist.

I love that womans voice when she sings the mongolian short song. Her voice is super powerful and strong, Ive had it stuck in my head for two days straight.
I love mongolian music
Beautiful
lots of soul and imagery - interesting compositions too. I need to experience music like this in person.
Maria Fahlsing - There are a few similar instruments of that type. Most western cultures may call it a hammered dulcimer, but others may have their own more traditional names.
This is beautiful! I am in awe!
Awesome !
Very beautiful music and voice of the singer. Thanks for nice video.

Fabuloso!
Oops! Guy opens the door behind the scene at 2:35! haha... Very wonderful music!
I love it!
Amazing!
very nice music. hoping the people will live peacefully, no hating, no killing………………
My... most esoteric feelings are your comment isn't in tune with this music's legacy. With hate out of the equation (strong choice of a word), killing for conquest and warring on was the Mongol way since tribal unification. Still the Khagans were extremely and openly tolerant with foreign culture, which is one of many reasons why they deserve respect, thing I straightly offer to their memory... even if I carry not a single drop of blood of their heritage. Hail Temuzhin!
(All speaking from a cultural/historical point of reference)
veramente affascinante, grazie!

ESTUPENDOS: INSTRUMENTOS (MUY EXTRAÑOS PARA LOS QUE VIVIMOS EN AMÉRICA), ATUENDOS, COROS, PERO LO QUE MÁS ME IMPRESIONA SON LAS VARIACIONES QUE LOGRAN CON EL CANTO DESDE LA GARGANTA. SALUDOS DESDE QUERÉTARO, MÉXICO.

It's yatga. "Master's yatga" if you wanna be more precise.
Actually it looks like it's a yatga - the Mongolian equivalent to the japanese Koto. :)
I believe that's some sort of a koto. I could be wrong though so if so I'm sorry!
in Mongol it is a Yatga ятга. In Chosun there is a similar called Gayageum
Last song name please
Name of the last song is "Uils Dundaa Sain" . You can hear another version here by Egshiglen: www.mongolia.co.uk/music.html#/player1?catid=18&trackid=0

Karakarum (Black stone) is the capitol of the Köktürk empire.
Mongolians inhabitant a vast treeless landscape of thousands of miles. Only 2.8 million people live here making this per density the most uninhabited place in the world. They conquered Rome. They had small tough ponies to ride and powerful bows. Today they are free from Communism and yearn to leave their country for better prospects. This music will soon be gone.
+Earl Lannum they never conquered Rome. I believe you are thinking of the Huns.
+Earl Lannum They did not conquer Rome.
The Dark Lord Chin Chin The Huns did not conquer Rome either, they lost. The impact of the Huns was the fact that they pushed the Germanic Tribes into Western Rome, who then later carved the empire up.
Temujin I know, but they attacked Rome.
What is huns? Who are they? Where are they now?
