- In a world of bigger numbers, bigger performance, bigger builds and bigger pricing…can a $500 ultra small form-factor PC find its place? The Liva Z5 Plus from ECS IPC contains an Intel Core i5-1335U, 16GB of RAM and a 256GB M.2 SSD….and it’ll nearly fit in the palm of your hand. But does this small build mean small performance? Great review mat
Really good tool for security systems too. Just ordered one to run a test os setup
Nice review guys thanks. Not for me but was interesting enough to watch
Excellent mat thanks mate
Thanks mate. Glad you enjoyed it :)
love your videos. You guys do the best reviews. Thank you
Thanks!
Can see this finding its way into loads of different applications. Such a neat form factor kind of like a supercharged raspberry pi.
Ideal for virtual work and test setup. Really good wee review there guys
Glad you enjoyed it
Really interesting take. Unusual to see here.
Pretty cool idea. Never see these about
Much. Would be ideal for a home
Office and general lighter use
great review
Thank you. Glad you liked it :)
I have a Beelink with an n100 that I bought for a home server and installed proxmox and some vms/containers for projects. I love these tiny PCs, and they scale much better than, say, a raspberry pi would. Efficient and portable and often as cheap as a modern desktop CPU for an entire PC.
What spec is that beelink ? Sounds like you are the target audience. I’d love to get one to mess around on.
Very cool man
Good review mat
Thanks
That’s a really cool wee tool to have in a drawer and to mess around with. I test software sometimes. This would be a great option
Great idea
Pretty cool wee system. I’d have fun playing with virtual installs on that
Best part is you can stick a proper Windows on it rather than have to suffer some kind of linux disto. Its only problem is it is aimed squarely at the Mac mini price bracket but those things have downsides too.
Interesting Review thanks. Plenty of Display Outputs so potentially a good Media Setup?
Thanks. Yeah it definitely could make for a decent, discreet media pc stuck behind a wall mounted TV for sure.
Good system for a living room for media or for an office. Interesting to see the gaming side
Yeah it would make for a nice media system. I couldn't not try and game on it :)
It’s a pretty tiny solution which would prove handy for behind a tv or monitor. Just not sure if it’s any use to me. Would be ideal for my gran.
Its idea for an office. Would take no room up and would handle general office duties without much power needed
Older 8-bit machines had an edge connector (like the BBC micro Tube or C64) that allowed the computer to have a massive upgrade. They should have taken a leaf out of that book and exposed a full PCI-E connector which would have allowed for an externally housed RTX or Radon via a pci-e riser cable.
I remember when computers were all just fields.
That’s a pretty cool idea
what’s the warranty terms on this ?
I mean it's not a gaming machine by any stretch of the imagination but it's not bad. Could be a good retro gaming / media centre rig.
At that price it's bad, there's a lot of better option around $500.
These certainly have a place. Ideal for a lot of lighter loads and easily hidden in a room. It’s about the only pc my wife would let me have In a living room 😂
Nicely done mat. Not something I need as my new lg has a lot of media streaming support but likely has a lot of uses for people.
Thanks :)
one thing which needs to be improved that is cooling system.
It’s all Low powered hardware will be fine
It hardly needs cooked
Tbh. Low power demand
I liked that tool kit analogy. My office tool kit is bigger than this pc ! 😅
You and me both!
Made for behind a tv this for basic media stuff.
Yeah for sure. Also for fast and easy deployment/replacement in office environments.
My ifixit tool kit is bigger
The Razer ads are so obnoxious...
Sorry !
