I'm a surfer, did scuba diving in the past also trained to free dive way back 2019 before I came to the US. I can say we do have sharks I personally encountered a couple of them but the difference is they are not as hungry and aggressive as the ones that you have in US and Hawaii coastlines because in the PH there's a huge abundance of food for the sharks it's rare for a shark attack in PH unlike in US and Hawaii even on crowded beaches from time to time you see shark attacks on the news specially in Cali and Florida I'm based in Texas I also heard stories from surf spots here. That's the reason I'm never gonna surf here in America and Hawaii.
Thanks for your input
Add Australia...they go toe to toe with Hawaii. Man eater indeed.

Thanks guys for this vid. Really wanted to revisit this Finn Snow vlog through your eyes. It’s only possible to go diving in Tubbataha on a liveaboard between March and June, because conditions are too rough during the rest of the year. During this time, up to 1,200 divers are allowed to visit each year. Of course, you don't have to go to Tubbataha to see the wealth of marine life in the Philippines. There's a lot of places you can explore that's more accessible but provides a great diving or even snorkelling experience. After all, the country didn't win Travel and Leisure's best diving destination on the planet 3 times in a row - always in the top 5 the last decade - for nothing.

Hi D & J, what a trip😊, am also an adventurer and great to see you explore our island.
Thanks 😊
It's in tubbataha reef...not allowed for a large number of tourists or locals. it's preserved. And i think because of the less disturbance from humans, that's why sorts of sea creatures stay there, especially the sharks..
Its for people who can pay and can dive underneath that deep sea
I do salute our Rangers there❤

I just watched Finn Snow recent vlog last night. He bought a big boat for a purpose of diving in Tabataha.
Yes we saw that and the new home he is building
The Garden of Eden 🤫
They must on a really slow boat. That's only 80-90 miles SE from Puerto Precisa Palawan if i remember correctly. That whole Sulu Sea region is the world's largest reef chain in the world.
Oh interesting 🤔 thanks for the info
So expensive to go there because it's a protected area.
Tubbhataha reef is a well known diving spot for tourists. There is another reef called Apo reef, Mindoro.
Amazing video..one of the 7 wonders of nature..tubbataha reef..and yeah we have sharks..but we are saying there's no shark attack reports..I guess they stay only in these areas where food is abundant..so it only make sense that they don't go to the beaches..
Upon arrival in the Philippines, you’ll be given 30-day visa stay. You can immediately extend for another 30 days stay visa at the airport. Just go to the immigration inside the airport for additional 30 days extension so you can stay for 60 days in your vacation instead of going to the immigration office for extension of your stay. If you want to stay for additional days again after your 60 visa, you can extend again. Good luck guys!
Oh that’s excellent information. Thanks for sharing that with us 😊👍😊👍
Hello D and J….Really appreciated your eager to know about the Philippines natural resources ❤❤❤

@@marichellbaltazar1857 glad you enjoyed it
1:50 it's a Napoleon wrasse (Endangered) that guy can be massive growing up to 2m, 180kg. Not sure but at 2:00 I think those are green humphead parrotfish (Vulnerable), these are also huge growing up to 1.5m at 75kg. If you look closely at the video Napoleon wrasse are solitary fish (sometimes pair) while the humphead parrotfish swims in school. Both fishes are beneficial to coral reefs' healthy ecosystem. Both are protected under the Philippine law.
Thanks for the info
Good evning D&J ❤Have a nice night 😊
Thanks 😊
Welcome to 🇵🇭 in advance sir 🎉
Thanks 😊
I ❤ Tubbataha 🇵🇭.
We of course have sharks in the Philippines, but you don’t really see them unless you go deep diving and not even that often either. Never heard of a shark attack in the Philippines. I’ve seen small baby sharks in the fish market growing up and that’s about it. You’ll more likely encounter small jelly fish in some beaches.
Ok thanks 😊
I know for a fact that there's a shark in the Philippines of course. Truthfully, i live nearby around many bodies of water since i was a kid like river, lake, sea, water falls and swamp but never seen one.
Normally, almost every weekend we have family bonding and it's always in beach or any place we majority want that is mostly about water. So my hand has been swollen by jelly fish, stepped on orchin, catch crab with my bare hand.
I've collect seafood like oyster, seaweed, fish and shrimp for our food but never seen shark my whole life. I guess im lucky, I only saw shark in Tv. I everyday update to news but rarely hear news about shark attacking people.
I think i hadn't even heard about it, only news overseas. I don't know, im only telling about my experience, im not spreading misinformation. Thank you for appreciating the beauty of our country❤.
Thanks for the info
The reason why sharks are aggressive there is probably because their usual prey had all but disappeared from their habitat.
Yes Finn Snow. awesome
Little sharks only, they only consume sea turtles and fishes and are not quite as big as the great white shark.
Have a great day D&J always watching here ❤ lots from Philippines❤❤❤

Philippines has one of the best reefs in the world....but I'm glad you guys knew that there are sharks here....they are very prevalent on here....whether on on low lying reefs or in the deep sea...just depends on the location....there are shark infested areas but mostly the beautiful beaches here are safe considering the phillippines ranks having the most shark species in the world but not having the huge ones like the great white....and when it comes to marine biodiversity, PH is among the highest.
Thanks for the info
@@DANDJREACT you're welcome....I forgot to mention there is only one huge shark on here....the whale shark.....there is a tourist destination here in Oslob, Cebu province where you can dive along with those gigantic creatures....they're the biggest there is in the shark species but very friendly and on a daily basis, there are boatmen feeding them with shrimps so as to attract them to keep coming back near the beach area so tourists can come to see them sailing in the boat in just a few minutes.
@@mario4301 I can’t wait to see
I only knew one death of a fisherman that involved tiger sharks and that happened somewhere in Mindoro and it was not an aggressive attack of the sharks it was said that the fisherman asked to be left by his companions (other fishermen) beause he wanna spearfish longer but accident happened while trying to catch a big fish that led into attracting the sharks (could've had wounded himself).
we have sharks 😭😭. Philippines is one of the most biodiverse countries in terms of marine and land animals so of course we have them however you only see them in deep seas and i meant deep deep, areas where people like us wouldn't swim into unless needed or if you went for a deep diving exploration. we usually don't have aggresive species of shark. i don't exactly remember the reason why but i've seen in a documentary before that the sharks in our oceans are mostly docile types of shark. you can't find great white here and yes bull sharks and tiger sharks are recorded to be seen but they're very rare. there were quite a number of tiger sharks who lived in the country back then but currently it's very hard to find them , they probably migrated 😂. the last report i've read was that you can only see tiger sharks in tubbataha which is also very few in number but then again this report was years ago so idk if they're still there or not. plus their habitat is preserved and untouched, they have plenty of foods available that actually fits their foodchain so sharks doesn't have any reasons to attack. you don't have to worry about them at all 😅. waters you'll go even if you decided to go for diving are all tourist spots or all used by locals so these waters are already tested 😅. haven't really heard of a shark attack happening in the country so it's safe to say that you'll be safe 😂
Awesome thanks for the info 😊
Just a tip tho cash is always handy there not esp small stores /coffee shops dont even accept g cash. I learned the hard way😅
Great tip!
It's Tubataha, shark is visible there because there's so many different kinds of fish in there. Its a buffet for the sharks,I think shark attack is not common here because they're always full.Im 35 lived beside the ocean here in Luzon Philippines, the sand is not white like in Palawan but its very beautiful.Love to swim with my kids and we don't mind shark.
Sounds Incredible

that's a thresher shark found only in the phils. (if I'm not mistaken😅)

I totally get that feeling when you're at a drop off. It gives me the heebie jeebies and that stomach drop feeling. It's pretty gnarly down there and yes, shadowy things aren't fun. Know what else is not fun.mmfor me anyway......night diving. I would have to have a person swimming beside me on each side, and someone behind and in front of me. 😅😅😅That's just thalassaphobia at its worst.
I would never night dive
