Ken if this were me I'd be doing the train stuff in the winter weather and the outside stuff in the summer weather. Don't forget you are retired now so take it slow and do as you want.
Current garage: Train layouts and e-bikes. Build a new garage with high ceiling and large doors for workshop and tiny house / greenhouse / chicken coop production. You can keep building and filming in inclement weather. Add a nice editing suite/office to one of the garages.
I have a similar problem with retirement, where it seems like I have too many small projects in the wings and it's become more of a distrraction than working full time. I feel as if it takes 2 hours to do a 15 minutet task because of the set up / clean up aspect. At least with larger jobs you can solve issues as you move along and at the end of a day you feel like you have more accomplished!
Ken the new track is a true masterpiece you just need more room I’ve just seen a train track in a garden goes around the garden including tunnels the land scraping is great
I was watching your brother’s latest video this morning and thought to myself ‘Ken is so busy with the tiny house that he probably doesn’t have much train time’
Ken, why not tear down the elevated track but at the same time use a lot of that kit to enlarge the two (back) sides of your beautiful landscaped set by say, one foot each side. (This will give you the extra area you are going to need to build some mountains and also blend that all into your existing green screen walls…
Trains are new to me again, giving me the same problem that you have Ken. I think it's just not as familiar as when I was working. So I bought new and old track layout magazines. They help some.
Personally I think Ken you are underrated for your skill level at keeping an audience engaged but not me I personally think you are one clever guy 🎉 Congratulations on being so good at this

Ken, your larger layout reminds me of train systems in middle Europe (Switzerland, Austria and northern Italy). Why not turn it in to a mountain layout with tunnels and mountains and even a ski-lift, like you mentioned in one of your previous videos. Keep up the great work. You will find time to work on it, once all your other projects finish, but it's good that you are not rushing in to things and thinking about what you want it to look like.
