Hey Pally, you're basically right about the etymology of 'looking a gift horse in the mouth'. Horse teeth change as they age, so you can tell a horse's age/health by their teeth. Or you can just take a free horse. Keep up the videos!
Building on this, it was considered rude to check the teeth as it was a gift.
A modern take would be receiving a car as a gift and then immediately leaning in to take a look at the odometer.
yeah, it is basically saying, don't try to figure out the value of your gifts, it's rude

This has been my favorite kill-box so far.
Brimstone is a key part of ALL my trap loadouts, but i have them set to deal arcane damage instead of a faster recharge, simply to deal with kobolds, firelings, and fire demon runners. While all my other traps deal with everything else.
I wouldn’t mind seeing you do some scramble runs. They seem really fun and with your commentary, I think they would be a hit.

have you tried (or even considered) leaving a half tile wide gap in places to allow small enemies through, but not big guys? you can "filter" enemies by having an early half gap where little guys get through to the killbox, and big guys have to go around a mazed bit to get to the bigger opening for them elsewhere. really lets you do some fun stuff!

It looks like the environments are deliberately deadly (e.g. lava, poison, grinders) and that the game expects a strategy in which you knock enemies into these regions. Does that approach work?

iirc, dealing acid damage also makes enemies weak to physical damage... so acid trap + sawblades is hilarious :)

I, as someone who has never played this, Was looking at this wondering if you could move the saw blades up 1 so that later in the round you could put in front barricades and then saw blades horizontal on the floor...then put in something instead of the sprayers out side the box looking in...just sounds fun and could increase your multiplier
that saw blade not off set is so triggering lol
Its not that different than the standard Pallytime Killbox, but this one has probably been one of my favorites somehow. Making because of the Acid Geyser
In all fairness to Pally, while I haven't played OMD3, if the first two are anything to go by, any 5 Skull strategy is going to abuse the hell out of tar and barricades. Then its simply a matter of min-maxing your cost/damage/uptime factors.
@@EmperorPylades I'm not complaining about the repeated strategies whatsoever, its essentially just a TD game, and most of the time they rely on bread and butter strategies so its not all that surprising.
