    beware of buying a 350Z! I bought mine just to drive it for one year. After one year I planned to sell it... instead I bought lowering spring, spacers and new rims... now the second year passed and again I planned to sell it.. I bought and mounted poliurythane rear frame bushings, Whiteline diff bushings and a new radio... and I know I won't sell it when the 3rd year passes. If you have more money than me you'll most likely end up mounting a turbo kit on that Z... so, you've been warned! :)

    as someone who owned a Z for along time and has put A LOT of mods in it, take this advice if you're looking for a Z. if you plan on modding the crap out of it. Get an base model, 07-08 if possible. avoid rev ups if possible, because by the time you find out it burns oil, its too late, the dealer wont take it back. if you want a Z and only do a couple mods, wheels exhaust. trying to find a Z with track package. brembo brakes will handle anything you throw at it with the right pad. any other questions, just let me know.

Clutch needs to be replaced and CD005 grinds but it's drive able . For those who do not know The 06 is a DE revup. Aka the first iterations of the HR heads w a DE block and slightly smaller crank ,which is why the redline is higher.

    Good as always . When ppl ask me difference between the engines . The revup is a DE w HR heads and a weaker block than the DE. As for the oil consumption, that's more of an issue w the early 05-06 models. It seems you have a later model. I remember buying my first set of rear tires. Barely one in the trunk and one on the passenger's lap. Second set, I just went to pick them up in my daily driver.

Insurance is cheaper because it has backseats, the base model g35 is cheaper than a fully optioned out 350z but has all of the same features like leather seats, Bluetooth calling, heated seats, bose audio, 6 disc cd player and a sunroof. You really can't go wrong with the g35, its a little heavier and not as balanced as the 350z but other than that they're basically the same car.

    • @SeanPhelps-qh2eu
      @SeanPhelps-qh2eu Před 3 lety

      @@chrjst0per you're welcome, I hope you find something you like. Each year has their pros and cons, they're all pretty solid motors. 200,000+ miles are commonly seen with these vq's. The 07-08 Z/G are what I would recommend but typically cost the most. These years they came with the vq35hr engine, which is considered to be the best of the vq35 series engine. Although some of them suffered from the oil gallery gasket failure. I'd assume most of them have been replaced by now but its definitely worth asking about if you go that route. The 05-06's suffer from oil consumption and timing chain guides, but they upgraded the transmission to the desirable cd009. They also upgraded the vq35de to the vq35de "rev up." As long as you stay on schedule with your oil changes you should be fine. I have a 06 g35 with 205,xxx miles on it and I have zero issues out of it. Lastly the 03-04 are typically the cheapest, i have heard they burn less oil compared to the rev up but oil levels should still be monitored. This year z and g are notorious for 2nd and 3rd gear going bad in the manual transmissions so be aware. Well I hope this helps, good luck.

      BESIM X CARS Sorry, no I'm no longer on FB I haven't been on there since early part of 2014, the 350z is down here in Houston where I work, the Supra is back in West Texas, that car is currently black but whoever painted it previously did a shit job but it is going to get the rare Anthracite 1A1 Color, twin turbo 2jz and 3.76 rear end. You can have one too just have to talk to people. The previous owner wanted 20k origionally, I talked him down to 16k probably could have gone cheaper but considering what it is I figured it was fair. look on craigslist in the major cities and you will see how I got mine. be advised, parts are expensive as hell and not easy to to come by.

    My father has to check oil every 2 weeks on his E46 330Ci, if it isn't as oil hungry as the BMW I'm okay with it 😂 I just want to own one! Even if it is for short term, and if it really turns out as a reliable one I will buy one. Which one is the most recommended from the 280, 300 and 313 HP versions? Is DE or HR better? I don't have plans on making mods except for a possible Nismo exhaust but just about it, nothing flamboyant.

    Damn.
    First things first, rev up is not the best 350z motor, HR is far superior and not just in power. 2nd, the maintenance is not even close to a Toyota Corolla lol, don’t tell people that.
    3rd, long tube cold air intakes, which are hard to run on DE motors due to the placement, make much better power than the stock airboxes. (Up to 10whp+)
    Megan racing is low quality product, not that you should’ve gotten a Tomei but definitely not Megan racing.
    I’m really not one to pick videos apart, and I absolutely love 350z’s, but I just wanted you to know what’s what I’m not talking shit.
    Thanks for the upload, I hope you still own and love your 350z.
